The center button at the signal light switch changes the setting, then to select, press and hold. If u are riding, while pressing and holding, a message will come on asking u to release your throttle momentarily to confirm the selection.

Thanks bros....as if getting accustomed to this horse is not enuf, now i have to get used to the mirrors :-)

How do I find out where the meeting is at? I will try my best to attend as i have old school gathering tonight....may escape after awhile.

How do i change the riding mode....i tried everything and it just stays at touring mode?? Any help will be much appreciated. I am running in too slowly to need all that power. At 4th gear I can hear some engine knock due to low rpm so i would prefer to run on Urban until I can manage this devil lol

Thanks for sharing Stoned.

Was this shot with the GoPro HD? Were you using the non-waterproof door? Or was it using an iPhone?

It's shot on the Gopro HD. Er typically during rainy weather I think most people would use the waterproof door. You get better engine sound when using the open door but i really think it's not worth risking the camera. It's quite sensitive to water although the casing itself is bombproof.

Yes, fortunately, later in the day when I tried to turn on the phone the lcd screen came on but was flickering badly. Today it's totally fine. I guess next time better make sure all the zips for the pockets are done up properly before heading out for a rain ride.

Ah ok, was asking cos the wind noise was very distinct!

Just wondering if there are any S4R, S4RS, 848 or 848Evo owners who would like to upgrade their stock wheels to the lighter forged Marchesini wheels? Looking to let go of my set...

Also, have a DP pressure plate (red) with DP retainers (black) for sale if anyone is interested. As pictured...

Please PM me for any queries or if there's interest!

Many thanks! :thumb:

Well, other notes/points are:

- Change engine oil at 500km n 1,000km

- for me, tyre pressure check every ten days; 36psi for n 42psi for rear; check when tyres are "cold"

- for me, i lube the chain at every 600 to 800km travelled OR whenever i have the chance; and lube the chain when "hot"

Happy riding! Cheers!

Yup if you put it on your head the wind noise is definitely going to be a lot more than if you put it on the tank. The instrument cluster offers some wind protection already on nakeds and supermotos, and if you have a windshield, 90-95% of the wind noise will be eliminated. The disadvantage of course is that you lose your ability to change the camera angle and for sportbikes, the windshield obstructs the picture somewhat.

All the gopro models are the same, the only difference being hd or non hd, and the set of mounts they're supplied with. There are actually a lot of aftermarket as well as original mounts going for very reasonable prices on ebay, so basically I wouldn't worry too much about which "model" it is.

As biting_point mentioned, $450 is farking ex. I got mine 2 years ago for about $320 or $350, forgot exactly. Bought it through a mass order organised by Lacrimosae, but you can easily get it from ebay around that price right now. Try to get one that ships as a gift so no gst needed.

Very different bikes bro. MTS much more exp but is an amazing bike. If you going to go touring then MTS is no-brainer choice. If you just riding to work maybe save your $ and buy the Monster. From memory MTS pricing around 42k for standard and 48k for S. S gives you adjustable electronic suspension, panniers, center stand, Ohlins front...can't think of anything else..maybe more. Personally I'd go the standard bike and add only panniers.

...too many to list

For me the S would be the way to go: the main reason beiing the electronically adjustable suspension, if you do not have those then, you will not benefit as much from the different mapping of the bike:

Each set-up: Touring, Urban, Sport, Enduro will change the suspension setting.

You can even change the setting for 1 up, 2 up and with or without luggages.

I do understand that on a lot of bike the difference between the S and standard is not big but for the multisrtada, losing the electronically adjustable suspension by not taking the S, completly change the attractiveness of the bike as the 4 riding modes offered do not offer the same degree of adjustments.

For example, the ducati and ducati carbon are not really different except carbon bits.

For the others: Streetfighter etc, the main difference are the olhins supsmension, to be honnest i have them but i have no idea how to set them up, having the bike making the adjustments for you make the whole difference.

Anyway this is just my own biased opinion having owned only S versions: (Multi 1000 S DS, Multi 1200 S, Street S)

Yes, but you would need to change manually each time you want to change the riding mode, so you wont be able to change on the go without the S version

Good luck to those ppl who bought the MTS "S" version...You would need to buy the brand new complete fork or shock to replace if they are faulty as there's "nobody" in local are able to service or repair them.I would rather take a non "S" anyday anytime.
