8am meet at gelang patah... then we go eat breakfast...at a place near the track. Basically you'll pass by the track on your left, ride on till you come to a residential area with few kopi tiams. It's on the same road as the track.

So for the new model, as long as fitted with slip-on or full exhaust, the O2 must be disconnected else the PC will be useless due the learning ECU rt?

 

Even the new model, 1098 onwards are not actually completely closed loop. If I am not mistaken, the ECU works in close loop mode under 5K RPM and reverts to Open Loop mode after that. The PC would not be able to tune the FI system under 5K RPM but will work for the top half of the RPM range. I don't think that the O2 sensor is disconnected with a full system as it will throw an error code and cause the misture to be very rich under 5K RPM (default to increase the mixture since too rich is better than too lean).

 

Actually you can test the learning feature of the ECU. Ride the bike conservatively for a week (

thanks man! i tried riding the bike and the light went off once i reached point " A "

and it came on after moving off to point " B "

gonna let minerva check the bike on my first 1k servicing.

The Exhaust servo valve sometimes will get stuck causing the error code.. just remove the cable and leave the valve motor intact. No more exvl code.

Asking ppl with experience with Magnesium wheels. Where to do inspection for them? Paint spray or powder coat will be a better protection for them? Understand many cons on them but what is done is done, rather look forward and see how to take good care of them for streetuse.

Haha...Welcome to Ducati ownership, u will learn to live with all these little niggles. That is actually a common fault. As Naked1 mentioned, it is due to the exhaust valve 'sticking'. It used to happen on mine too, it usually occurs when u have been riding for a while, switch off the engine and restart it shortly afterwards (eg. clearing Singapore customs). U can clear the fault by switching off the engine and then restarting it. To eliminate the fault completely either remove the cable to the exhaust valve or install DP ECU which disables the exhaust valve.

Carbon is illegal.. the catalyzer in st legal cans is so damn hot dat carbon will crack.. Arrow dont make in carbon too.. price is $2.6 +
