Any Error code recorded?

nope no error code. just random but often flickering of headlights and speedo simultaneously..

from wat i observe, it seems to happen when the bike is hot. it doesnt happen when im warming up bike or just start after riding, but happens when riding or when i stop at traffic light.

Clutch backing/driven plates are made of steel. Friction/driving are also made of steel (aluminium options available). They rust, much faster when wet. You don't experience problems while riding because the heat from the plates dry them. So... avoid open clutch covers if your bike is not covered.

or it could be the side stand switch as rockoil mentioned

NEVER water jet your bike as oil seals, dust seals and O'rings will NOT stop water from entering whatever it is designed/trying to protect/seal. Water will destroy your suspension fluid, brake fluid, bearings, bolts (eg:engine to frame), nuts etc. Need me to quote examples?

Items for sale

Ohlins rear shock spring 7.5 kg(mint)

Showa Fork w lower triple(used)

Stock FULL fairing 998s(used) w MS Prod Carbon Street Belly-pan

MS prod Carbon 998R tail fairing (used-DP#96938402B)

Bestem carbon belt (testastretta engine)

Ducati Corsa Screen-fabbri (new)

Oil Cooler (mint-#548.039.1A)

More parts than I can list here (mostly for 916 series)

(PM me for details)

Yes thanks, that's the first and last time I shall wash my bike with a jet. Collected my bike today and it's working well again.

motoworld carries `cnc` plugs cost approx less than 100-150 for a set. this brand is from italy, saw cnc brand stickers on the ducati sbk team but not sure what parts they are using from cnc.. So its reputable

Sporting carries stm also from italy.. Cost abv 250 for a set covering the biggest holes on the frame.. some brands does not cover..

Today's ducati bikes come with immobilizer, and the keys contain the transponder that unlocks the engine when u put the key in.

In case the engine has been disabled, the Code Card carries the Electronic Code required to unlock a disabled engine.

The Red key is the master key used to programme a duplicate black key.

How "safe" depends on you. Buy wisely.

Well, if it's really cheap why not. The worst case scenario you just gotta get a new immobiliser with a new CDI. I can't remember how much it costs, but I don't think it should be more than 2-3k. SO, you do the math and decide. Best to call Minerva and ask how much is a replacement first though

I agree too! I want to buy too! if the price is right

Well I would do it for u guys but I'm too busy now . Stay in course .

hmm, i dont know how much do the accessories cost, need to speak to someone who knows the price of accessories well. Mary hasn't called, she doesn't seem too keen on telling me the info I need.

Hi, was wondering which tyres are better, Diablo Corsa or Diablo Rosso II

Posted

hi ben, depends whether you're asking better for what... better for mileage? better for grip?

Of course, the Rosso Corsa is the 'better' tire in terms of performance. I'm on Rosso II and I find them quite soft, obviously not as sticky as my previous Dragon Supercorsas... but definitely better mileage. Some say Rosso II are meant for 80% road 20% track use.

If i'm not wrong, Diablo Corsa III has been discontinued. Replaced by Diablo Rosso Corsa. And Dragon Supercorsa replaced by Diablo Supercorsa.

Here's a helpful link where you can compare Rosso II and Rosso Corsa.

FYI Rosso Corsa's rear is 3-compound, Rosso II (self-explanatory) ^ ^

From what I understand. Do not buy! If you lose your black key, you cannot duplicate a new key without the code card and this requires you to purchase a new ECU, speedometer and all the locks. It'll cost you a kidney... at least.

It is impossible to defeat an ignorant man in argument.

Oh dear! But what about services like sosdiagnostics.com does it actually work? Sorry I'm about to buy my very first ducati and I want it to be as problem free as possible, or try to miss these unnecessary issues. Thanks in advance for your input, it means a lot.

Thanks J, most prolly go with Rosso II but I see people riding the Rosso II on the diavel having to change their rear section after 2400miles. So scary! :(
