hi bros. my bike just did a top overhaul abt 2 weeks ago. how fast can i ride and how long then i need to change oil and also ride faster? thank you all so much in advance!

recommended is max 70-80km/h for 1000km. thats the safe n gentle running-in procedure. make sure u warm up the bike b4 riding. and change gears often so that ur engine revs varies. accelerate gently and try nt to maintain at the same RPM for long periods.

thank you bro naim. for warm up, is it follow the honda ta200 manual of not more than 1.5mins? and also you mention let the engine revs varies, meaning we can rev at a higher rpm?

im not so particular abt the warmup time. personally i warmup abt 2-3 mins, as i wear my protective gear. as long as u dun ride immediately after u start shud be fine.

no no! not high rpm. meaning dun maintain at the same RPM all the way. once in a while slow down, drop gear, rev a little bit, then change up again, jux to play around wif the RPM. jux make sure dun so high can alr. our bike abit hard since got no tachometer to see the engine RPM, but u can feel when the engine is strained.

dun worry so much lar. as long as u dun rev super high, just ride as per normal, but accelerate more gently and limit ur maximum speed. :thumb:

1000km go n change to good EO. recommended synthetic. then ride as per usual. after that change at every 1500km-2000km shud be fine. :) enjoy n ride safe!

I used gear 2 instead.. feels easier for me. Just need to remember to clutch in after your bike starts up. If not................

Piston might have rusted due to the time length. Did you warm up bike once in a month during the year?

Get a new battery, fresh petrol (throw away d old one in d tank), drain ur carb, new spark plugs n new engine oil. Drip some EO into the engine through the spark plug hole, crank while covering the hole awhile, put back d plug then try n start.

Can I ask, how much must I set aside if I want to buy a 2nd hand phantom bike, inclusive of Coe taxes insurance.

Beginning of this year, I spent $2.7k on a 2004 phantom, $1.2k(per year) on insurance, but that's just for me. there are other stuff but for me this 2 is the more expensive part. hope this info help u estimate haha

wow! 1.2k a year for ur insurance? may i knw why so ex? which company u got it from. one advice is get a lot of quote from all the insurance companies. u will be surprised hw much u can save wif just a little effort. for my renewal last year, i save over $500 jux by jumping over to another company.
