er not wat im looking for lei.. i need e one w GIVI wordings on it.. e one w e plastic attached..

 

wa lau u so brand conscious ah...

if GIVI's one is unbreakable plastic then I got nothing to say.

mine is made from unbreakable plastic so even if you bend it or drop it, it will not crack. Not sure about branded GIVI ones though

wonder if any s4 spec3 owners has got any info on the recall for fuel valve? recently bought a new s4 n found out that there was a recall for this last year and my VIN number falls within the range stated by Boon Siew altho i bought my bike elsewhere.

I am wondering why my bike seems sluggish when i'm riding it..even when i throttle up, it seems to react very slowly ..never encountered this before ..have anyone experienced this before?

care to share wat's wrong and how u solve the prob...

Carb or fuel injectors clogged or your airfilter needs to be cleaned.

other than the above mentioned, could there be any other problems with my bike

? i can start it normally and the idling looks fine ..jus that it doesn't sound right when i am riding and the sound is definitely sluggish ...

how long does it take to wash the carbs

slow reaction...when i open trottle, its like stuck2...

so i went to do service for carb...its 80 at GNG....

and after that my bike is like normal...:cool:

republic motor at kaki bukit serviced carb for $60...unique motorsports also serviced carb for $60....

Probably too much air and too little fuel....causes cud be: carbs out of tune, main jet clogged up..fuel line choked... for the first two causes, a simple carb servicing(consists of washing, tuning and balancing) done by ur trusty mech shud do the trick..fuel line choke can be cleared by urself if ur adventurous...if not another job for the mech..I did experienced this before when the mech changed my pilot jet but forgot to change my main jet...

hey guys, wanna enquire.. Hw much diff did yr RPM drop when u change gear while normal riding?

 

Lets say that we change gear 3 or 4 or 5 at 5 RPM, hw much will it drop?

it seems like mine only drop 1 rpm. as in from 5 to 4. and that happens for almost all the gears. (Cant recall 1st to 2nd gear though) Issit normal?

 

Getting worried liow.

Hi, if any1 know Spec II rpm at 70km/hr? According to my friends spec 1 and 3, at 4.5k rpm 70km/hr, 5K rpm 80km/hr. But mine 70km/hr is at 5K rpm already. when 100km/hr, already 6.3~6.4K rpm, open Vtec already.. Is this normal to Spec 2? any 1 to advise? or is it due to tuning of carb?

you forgot to mention at which gear leh.. yours might differ cos you are not using stock sprockets..

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

frm wad i noe is that when this happen when he is the 6 gear/highest one ..

i din noe sprocket size causes such huge difference ..

anyway he is a fren of mine .. haha ..

oh icic.. i only know at 6th gear 7k rpm will be about 105-110kmph.. tonight i try already then confirm my readings again.

yes sprocket size does make a slight difference.
