Hi fellow S4 riders, need some advice from the seniors here. I'm going away for a short holiday and since I am not riding my vtec1, was planning to leave my bike at a reliable workshop for some servicing. Anyone have got reliable workshop to reccomend? Service list as below;

Coil

Rectifier

Battery

Clutch plate

Friction plate

Clutch cable

Steering cone

Fork service/dust cover

Front brake pad

Engine oil

Oil filter

Air filter

Spark plugs

Flush coolant

Asked around a few workshops but most of them could not give me a accurate quote and have got doubts on some others reliability. One shop quoted me $1k for the job I list. Is the price reasonable? Thank you in advance.

Been wanting to do the normal servicing (EO, plugs, air n oil filter) because milleage has hit 8K since last service. Flush coolant because it's been 1 yr since I bought the bike. N to replace/service the other parts because of wear n tear issues like dust cover, oily right fork, etc. u've got any ideas, solution or any alternative bro? Thank u in advance.

Forgot to add, I've bought the bike 1 yr ago n it's a super stock bike. Even the grips feels like sandpaper already. Hehe. So since I'm not riding the bike, I figure it's the best time to leave it at a reputable shop to do servicing n replace the wear n tear parts. Previous owner rode it for 9yrs before I renew the COE and I'm only the second owner of the bike. So anybody got bikeshops to reccomend? Thanks many many.

Hi Bros,

a quick question, my temp meter lighted up recently on the expressway. I was riding n stopping constanly as it was v jammed.

The red light flashes n go, not lighting all the time. The strange thing is it happens when i clutch in or open throttle at low speed.

I have changed my coolant recently n my fan is working.

Anyone encountered this before?

My fren ver s similar to your problem. He stop and check his coolant tank (on right hand side board) and found that its empty. I bring him coolant and light went off after replenished coolant.

Erm bro, to read your post again, his case seem to be opposite. Red light flash and go, but when clutch in, light Go off. I check and update here later if need to.

Btw, is your problem fixed?

Hi bro, I went to bike shop they say might be temp sensor prob. I change the sensor n after few days the prob came back again. Ur fren prob Is due to the coolant?

Bro, is temp sensor known as thermostat? I think my fren's bike is forget to check coolant. He concluded that the coolant top up every trip is because the coolant level in the cooling system is low. That's why when he top up, it goes in to the main system and the side tank is empty. He is still monitoring. But after that time I brought him the coolant, he say light nvr light up again.

Bro, btw, did u check your coolant or eng oil if it is milky? Any white smoke? These are symptoms of water entering the engine (paiseh, dunno how to describe professionally).

What's wrong with your LCD Display? Does is look like the plastic over the LCD melted or the mercury in it looked like it's melted also. If that's the case you cam pm Bro Tachnicolour. He might help you out.
