Welcome to the club - from a newbie also.

Also went to Gopa for servicing.

My only complaint about the ST11 is that at standstill - it is a fairly heavy bike to put on mainstand - haven't really got used to the "technique" yet...but on the road - wow! you should go take a spin around South Bouna Vista Road - handles like a dream around the curves and hairpins.

Is the newer version (like '02) shock absorber compatible to 95 model?

all the same.

I think there's difference with ABS model, maybe botakmonk could enlighten us, he has gone thru quite a bit with it.

Hi Guys,

I have a used original rear shock absorber to give away FOC,the bushing at the top mounting part was broken and the sponge @top worn off,you need to find and replace the bushing yourself from old shocks or try to source it somewhere. Also you'll need to get the securing bolt.

Bought a new one cos been hearing clinking noise, after removal by my mech then saw the bush was broken. Shock was checked and found is still in good condition but have to clean it abit. For those with a tight budget, you just have to find the bushing yourself to save abit $.

Self collect @SK if interested. I'll be going up north this weekend, will only be able to reply after 29Mar.

Thanks.

:cheeky: hahaha simon when come out la kopi?! u so busy earnin milk powder $ till neglect us le.

my 01 TCS/ABS/CBS model de comes stock with black colour rear spring instead of the normal blue colour one. service manual(pic attached) shows the diff in size of the springs btwn ABS & non-ABS model. ABS version springs will be harder and stronger due to extra weight of the bike.

i was riding 2up most of the time when i 1st got my bike so i backside itchy go change to aftermarket hyperpro springs for both front and rear. bad move! the aftermarket springs were simply too freaking hard. can feel every single bump on the road.

kn2i n other fellow ST11 owners can take reference of my bike settings before deciding whether u need aftermarket springs or just replacement back to original shocks again.

my settings for the bike since hyperpro springs were installed:

1st few mths of installation

- rear spring ultra hard

- ride till wanna cry with/without pillion

- with 1st click(default was at click 3) compression on the rear shock, rebound set min or max also no diff

- front spring too stiff and long, front of whole bike raised, light beam shining higher

- front spring fantastic for all kinds of terrains

- rear spring big headache

after 6mths - now

- rear spring still super hard when riding without pillion

- rear spring seasoned for riding with pillion

- fantastic for smooth highways n twisties without bumps

- STILL @ 1st click(default was at click 3) compression on the rear shock, rebound set min or max also no diff

- front spring still as good, just raising front of bike too much

- already gotten use to the extreme craps it gives on bumpy roads

average weight taken on bike with hyperpro springs:

- without pillion with luggage ard 120+kg(good as long dun get too bumpy roads)

- with pillion with luggage ard 170+kg(smooth like butter, no complains)

- tried b4 with pillion n luggage ard 250+kg, 1st click compression on the rear shock, rebound set min or max also no diff. this is how freaking hard the aftermarket springs can be!!!(no kick or stress for the spring)

took me a long time to get used to the hard front n rear aftermarkets. nearly crashed coupled of times due to freakin hard springs on uneven terrains at cameron highlands n PG.since most ST11 is almost decade old, unless u intend to ride another decade, aftermarket springs might be overkill. if anybody interested to try fixing my ABS springs on non-ABS ST11 can pm me, if it suits ur requirements i can sell it off at a good price.

Mean looking machine you have there with the lights. YOu can buy new/used parts at ebay.uk or davidsilverspares. google it online. Both cater to st11/13 parts as their country using our workhorse for their police bikes.

Thanks cbkooky.

SO KIND OF YOU .

I contacted them but they say headache to deal with modfied bikes. One shop said need to see catalog and order from japan.

All of them also don't want to tell cut shops.

To get new , it seems expensive and not worth it.

I wonder those st1100 scraped or accident.

There must be a cut chop chop shops in spore.

I wonder where are all cut -shops in spore.

I am looking more for cut-shops in Singapore where I can buy it off the shelf.

The second hand parts include

a dual seat,

foot pegs for the pillion and

:) Honestly...ebay uk has a list of these stuffs. But of course , if cost is a factor then not a viable option. Can try Gopa at Ang Mo Kio repairing St..maybe he has loose parts for sale or try local scrapyard/.
