Not sure how late till late but usually most workshop close by 6pm. Since you are in Bishan..not too far from Yio Chu Kang...there is one open till 7:30pm but I often see them lose at about 8:30 to 9 pm.

4) Last but not least, give your engine a good blow after a good warm up or short ride. Yes, rev all the way to red zone progressively and hear your exhaust scream!..but don't hold for more than 1.5 second. Do a feel time till no black soot comes out. If there is misfiring or backfire...do it till you don't have or minimal. This helps to clear the '****' out off the exhaust and most importantly..help in clearing air flow and jet needle orifice. I do that all the time but don't "whack" la of course.

 

If you are bold enough, do a "backfire"...meaning, intensionally causing a misfire..the easiest way about this is whike you are riding, say 80 to 100 km/hr and on 4 gear...clutch in and change to 3 gear and let go clutch..your rpm will build up and bike still on the move...now..SWITCH OFF your engine (kill switch) for 1 to 1.5 secs and then back on again (engine be stalling and bike still on the move)..you should get a backfire and that helps in clearing all the '****' in your top cyclinder head. If your backfire sound like it is just "farting"..its not good enough..do it again till you hear a good loud "Pak" sound(people also can jump or squat...heeeee...x3!...always do that to pedestrian who don't use proper crossing near-by when I passed them by. Don't need to have P1 in physic to do this...a few practice would get you going. You can do that with your bike part but make sure its in a workshop in some wu_looo_woo_luuu place

 

I did the blow part. and I do it sometimes. But I got bad feedback that it will make your coil spoilt. . But I still do it. lol

 

Furthermore I didnt know Backfire helps to cleanse. Coz as what I know frequent Backfire will make the engine lifespan shorter. . Which I ever did 3 times on my bike till now. That one Gundu case coz everytime wanna on hazard light I accidentally off the engine...

 

Thats what I know about the negative effect on our bike if we do both.

i dono about the backfire stuff, but i go sec link whack the bike at high speed, clutch in n give your engine a gd long blow(till the red zone for a few time), after that the bike feels more smooth, dono weather is my mind or really smoother. haha

No theory that I know off and proved this right though..electrically. But if continous and at longer duration, my only concern is that the motor oil you have may not be good enough to protect your cyclinder wall and piston compression ring (I have metal conditional in mine). Most owner not in favor of this because when they hear thier bike scream like that..its like toturing it..to me, it's flushing..soik...x2!

 

Backfire helps to cleanse

 

Like a good sneeze like that la...every thing also blasted out...lOL! Basically..its 'explosion' in the combustion chamber la..caused by sudden spark during off timing period. Read about this long long time ago in a review for sport bike race tunning. Should see those people doing dyno just tunning..engine also screaming like it can drop off the frame or top cover blow off like that. Anyway...the purpose is to 'weaken' any carbon accumulation and make them loose.

True...make sure your motor oil level is right and in good vecosity condition. If you want to ride with Nitro liquid premix in your fuel where it is only useful after your bike power band and engine at very hi-temp..better to have good motor oil.

Yes and do be caution yourself with his charges..too expensive don't do...you be better off with worm treatment till you have time to have a proper patch.

This is what most people does..yes..blow till no black smoke comes out..but do have a break after a few blow (oil to cool) before the next few. If got thick white smoke..better stop (piston oil ring gone liao..not that you spoiled it but normal wear and tear).

When you have the opportunity again...don't clutch in next time, let the engine stall at hi-rpm like engine braking like that, than kill switch the engine off and on again after 1 to 1.5 secs..you get your "bang"..if "fart"..try again.

hahaha...this is what they called PHOTO EDITING. I used Photoshop la. this is a LOMO texture. hence the SHining effect. I can try to do it for your bike if you want. just e-mail me the pic at [email protected]

 

but seriously...I wax my exhaust(sounds kinky ) everytime I wash the bike. I used Silicon Wax that I bought at JB. it has a nice finishing. Maybe next time can bike wash together and I let u test the Silicon Wax.

wah lan i just love the shine of the header and the big 1 end can. got abit of vintage feel, 2 bad i can`t find a nice looking big 1, btw even the front fork also shine sia, your big 1 shine more that a FBC spec 3 sia. haha

U maintain ur bike like its a Mint bike that never move at all. anyways, I think if the COE finish you can keep it under Classic Bike category. Thats what I read at the LTA that day. Keep it mint. You header seriously WOW!

Haha...nah...it cannot get shiny as chrome la. Only normal shine. Use the silicon wax, when I wipe I can see the matt looking substance came out. Aiyah you live north I live west. I sometimes lazy to wash I go Yishun let ppl wash. hehe.
