Wah..who's the mechanic boy?.."one of the tuning screw jammed up"...can tell without opening carbs arh?..so good arh? What makes you think ge's right?..u dunno..better go to another few mototiam and get a few opinion. Ticking is normal for old bike..if it warms up and go away..its okay..a week or two later..it may not be there..this is typical behaviour of shims for old bikes.

Do read passed post here..this subject has been asked a few hundred times already.

Hi all! I'm getting a Ver S. Will be doing a transfer with the previous owner this saturday. I would like to ask for some quick advice if there's anything i should be looking out for before I seal the deal? Btw, i'm a super noob in bikes (never owned one before).

Thanks in advance. Looking forward to join the non-vtec!

"..quick advice if there's anything i should be looking out for before I seal the deal"...kind of difficult lah unless u know and that the pwner is honest enough to tell. To be on the safe side...at least request him to give u at least a month warranty in case of any "findings" that is faulty..like coolant leakage from the two holes of each engine block side. Btw...do request to open up the seat and off the right side cover and check the coolant reserve tank (plastic container wif a black rubber cap)..take it off and check the coolant conditions. Should be fresh green or blue and at the second upper level..shouldn't be brownish and badly stained wif Milo like brow scales. At least from this, you can gauage the owner well being of maintaining his ride. If such simple and basic maintaineance is not take fore for..I can't imagine the rest of necesscities. Good luck and congrats!

bros, how much engine oil does the version r/s use? wat is the recommended grade? issit better to use thicker or thinner? time interval for oil change? any difference to change the spark coil head? and for spark plugs wat is recommend? any difference to change to iridium types? other than fjt, where else to get oem stuff for superfour? pls enlighten me. thk u..

Posted
Change of Oil seal etc with oil..$90. No oil leak and seal ok..he will advise u just to replace the oil..anyway..aske dhim to refill at least 145cc per fork..mine is 150cc..shiok_shiok!

AhPek,i don't understand abt the cc part. The higher the cc the stiffer the fork? Better and quicker rebound?

When i got my bike the salesguy told me that my bike's fork uses air. I don't even know what that means.

Guys which is more practical to install on a Spec 3.

Crashbar or slider?

Crashbar is more practical as it offers better protection (to the bike, but not to ur legs >_>)

For a bike like s4 crashbar looks nice as makes it look solid and rugged.

If your bike came with 2 point (Non-vtec) then install 2 point.

If it came with 3 point crashbar just install the same back. I believe honda engineers knew what they were doing.

You should be happy that it whine..sound like jet turbine aircraft engine..When engine whine..its healthly..nothing to do with the eo. If eo is degrading..its rough in the gear box.

Get the 2 points ones...3 points uses the engine mount which is wrong and components in carbs can get damage if bikes falls..as the imapact be absorb by the engine and carbs rather than the chassis.

Hello bros, anyone know where to service ver s front brake pump? Mine the piston was stuck so pulled it out using screwdriver and damaged the rubber seal around it in the process. Now i press front brake the there will be a drop of brake fluid from the small hole in the rubber seal.
