Hi guys anyone changed the switch b4? I was quoted 100+. My headlight wont work but if I tweak the wires abit it will. Seems like a little loose on the circuit only but the mech insist on changing whole switch. My ignition n signals all working fine, just no headlight but can high beam....

i put a lot of wd40 into it and it works for another few months, been doing that for 3 or 4 times liao, each time it gets harder to turn back on, but eventually will need to replace...

Alright, will try it out. Spray into the ignition button right?

maybe your wiring old liao thats why like that... my ver s has no problem though... yet to kenna.

Looks like Coolant pump leaking. Can be the cover housing rusted inside out and have a small hole and leak under pressure. If this the case..can use Aradite or some other heat resistance epoxy to patch it up. If no hole..you can replace the rubber O-ring seal for coolant inside. There are two rings..smaller one for eo and larger one for coolant..only a few bucks but u have to DIY. For a one and for all solution..have the pump change at about $220.

 

Is the coolant rubber o-ring also call water pump gasket ?

I should think so..there are only two inside..both rubber..one big..one small..one for oil, one for coolant..better changed both.

anybody know ver s reserve how many litres? i clocked about 270km from full tank and im just outside the range of the reserve part of the fuel gauge. is this normal fc? please advise. TIA

Reserve tank holds 3 litres.

Hi all, I am currently use a Yoshimura end can. I wish to upgrade to a legal full exhaust header + end can. Anyone can offer some advice/recommendations with cost involved. Thank you in advice.

Hi, 270km hit reserve is a bit low. I have a 18 year old version S and it doing more than 300km on the average before hitting reserve. It depends on your riding habits. the highest I hit is 325km.

I change before. Contact problem. You can change the wire or spray contact spray but that is only a temporary solution. It's a matter of time before u need to change the whole switch assembly. So actually your mechanic did the right thing.

Same here. I had been advised by my mechanic to change the whole set because now wiring harness had already stop production and more difficult to get. The existing harness had already been in use more than 10 years and they can go anytime.

ah Pek i wanna do EO and ceramic and Oil filter. Is your Oil filter OEM Honda or?? The last time i visited you was 8000km ago.. Its time!

This is for all S4 riders.A while ago someone just install a scorpion exhaust on a spec 1 and was going to go for a test ride and I went with him on my 18 year old version S. We just do short splint traffic light to traffic light. Both bikes have light modifications. Exhaust, Free flow air filter etc but no jetting or additional work on engine. 2 times he beat me and I beat him 2 times also. This myth that VTEC is faster and better is not true. The conclusion is who open 1st who wins.
