I had the option of getting yet another netbook earlier this year or a pillow.

I decided on the pillow because it's $2 and will last longer than the netbook... which I would end up selling in 6 months due to its uselessness.

Yep, it's the Little Red Pillow ™. Inspired by the book of similar name from Communist China.

Little Red Pillows keep the workplace happy. And they save me over $600

why dont u buy the netbook and put some sponge on it?

my hobbies include sound systems, playing pool (therefore buying pool cue), mobile phones, pens, watches, but the purchases have all stopped. more or less. haha.

bike is the main hobby now.

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

yup 2nd hand yields a lot of good bargains :)

Indeed. I had another Yamaha acoustic then. Actual market price was $300+ in yamaha stores. Got it for $140. The condition of the guitar was new, even had a few months warranty. The original owner sold it because she lost interest and found guitar too hard to learn and was selling cheap because it had a few snapped strings. Bought it, added some $15 d'addrio strings and got a good guitar at a steaaaaal...

i tell my dad that my 2nd bike is for rebuilding purposes (e.g. hobby). he approves of the friends that i work on the bike together with, so that's one good thing, at least im spending my weekends with "good influences", and i will be spending more time not riding the bike then :p

Restoring bikes is definitely a damn good feeling. I prefer buying a cheap stock bike then one that already came in bling out by previous owner. Coz the act of going all over the island to scout for parts add "bond" with your bike and you also get to noe ur bike inside out.

U need suggestions? Can go into hi-fi. Will fill your room+empty your pocket like nobody business

Haha, nah not interested in that. Probably going to spend my money on COE 2 strokers. Bikes on that list includes RS125 extrema, kr victor M, Phantom 150, 125z... I would love to own the legendary LC Tong one day as well..

Netbooks are plain next to useless these days, with tablets coming in fast to replace them. A CULV notebook is a better choice. The size and battery life of a netbook, the power of a notebook. Think of it as a 125z in cub's terms :cheeky:

Cigars for me.

I estimate that i must have spent about $80k in cigars and cigar related stuff over the last 10 years.

I haf a very weird collection i guess.

I like to collect lighters. Not as in zippos or dupont. Just normal lighters in nice designs, colours, shape. Come wif led lights inside. Blah blah blah. I always buy lighters when i go overseas. Esp when in bangkok. Once i got stopped at the singapore custom on my way home coz when they scanned my lugguage, they found a bag of "steel" and demand that i open it up. I even got a lighter which is a bike. It has a BMW logo, model G650X wif 4 exhaust and a headlight. Hahahaha. I dun think there's such a model rite?

In taiwan which is much worse, when going thru the custom at taiwan going back to sg, the security stopped me coz he also found a bag of lighters in my lugguage. He told me that 1person can oni carry 1 lighter and i had to discard the rest. Had to plead wif him that its for collection, for friends back in sg. Lucky he let me go.

Btw, wanna ask around here, if anyone of u guys noes of a place to repair lighters? There's some already spoilt and cannot use. Wanna repair them all.

I don't thin I buy alot of shoes lol but the thing about shoes that are more expensive is that they are also supposed to be better balanced for heels. Cheapo heels might not be well balanced and cause mroe problems.

I used to splurge on CDs. Nowadays I guess I probably managed to contain my spending habits a bit bah but my current splurges are The Body Shop stuff and novels.

I have to scale down my shoe collection due to lack of space. Normally I buy those branded shoes during sales from Robinsons and Tangs. I can't wear those cheap shoes because I have sweaty feet and the shoes will stink!

So far my shoes have lasted me more than three years, but that's because I rotate them...
