Is this even considered a motorcycle? COE under which category? Park at bike or car lots?

LTA classified it as bike category. As for parking, not sure. I think these riders tends to avoid smaller carparks or shopping malls

1st generation Spyder COE under bike catergory though i heard d newer touring version now in debate as it weighs over 400kg.

HDB/URA parking last i remember is u need to take/pay for 2 lots, not allowed to park in car lots doe some do esp in shopping malls..

Yes, its considered a bike, so its a bike COE. As for parking, need to park in bike lot and pay 2 coupons since it takes up 2 lots.

The touring one is the RT, much similar to Goldwing on 3 wheels, and last I heard from the agent that its still pending LTA approval.

so are you one of the rider ? or agent / sales person ?

I saw in Motoculture mag interview that Can-am is not targeting for hardcore motorcyclist, but they are targeting for those who wants to ride but scare to be on 2 wheels ...

well.. definitely not for me... :)

I own a Spyder myself, not agent, just trying to find out if there are any fellow spyder owners out there that can exchange ideas and information.

The spyder is not for everyone, to each his own.

yes, the leg down instinct at the lights is sometime very awkard.

when u come to a stop and dont have yr leg down, u have a sick gut feel that you might tip over as u still think ure on 2 wheels

Spyder. Definitely good for long dist touring up North. Should be nice on the NSH. Less fatigue. No worries about tipping over.

But I think going up Cameron or Genting, it won't be that fun. Can't bank and hit the corners like a regular bike.

Hell in SG traffic for sure. Can't squeeze or lanesplit.

You are right on... the pros is you got less fatigue from the spyder on long distance, but does not handle that well on the twisties though. And it also can't squeeze between lanes in Sg traffic.. so give and take.. hahaha...

Plus you can get that snazzy trailer on the Roadster. For a good long distance country highway, definitely a big plus if you're going to rural areas or a camping trip.

Dunno if that's legal in SG.

That trailer is actually meant for the Spyder RT, which is not available in Sg yet.

And you might be right, this trailer might not be legal in Sg though. ;)
