Hi all,

Recently i was trying to adjust my idling speed but instead adjusted the wrong screw! There are 3 screws under seat; 2 screws with single thread located below the idling screw which is cross thread. i adjusted the one with single thread at bottom left of idling screw. Now my consumption drops to 18-19km/litre! :(

Can some kind souls do me a favour? Can u check the position of the single thread of the screw that is located at the bottom left of idling screw and let me know...

Hope i don't confuse anyone with my explanation...or if u have other suggestions let me know too...thanks...

I now know which is the idling screw to adjust..but the other screw i mentioned above has been changed from factory setting..so that's y i asked if any swingers can check that particular screw for me and let me know, then i go and adjust mine back to original position..

I have attached a simple diagram to illustrate what I mean...

PS: Have to detach seat from holder and use torchlight to look inside.

2 roads diverged into a wood, and I-I took the road less traveled and that makes all the difference!

if u know exactly which screw u adjusted, why not try turning it back? if can't remember exactly how much is turned, then aga aga try bit by bit. my guess is the screw could be one of those that affects fuel-air ratio... mixture becomes richer so bike becomes hungrier for petrol

Just wondering what you guys placed in both your scoot front compartment.

for me :

on my right, the shallow compartment contain my wallet, phone and cleaning cloth.

on my left, the deep compartment contain, my road tax, umbrella and one rain pant for the sudden downpour when it was just drizzling and I was wearing my top. actually. if folded properly, can store more things, I love this compartment.

Yes that's what i thought also that the fuel-air ratio is out of tune:( ..i tried adjusting back bit by bit and monitoring my FC but it's a slow process..since i only turned 1 screw wrongly, i hope there's a kind soul here who can peep into the idling screw area to help me out...:)

Hmm... should get a mechanic to check the number of turns for fuel/air mix on the carb that is ok (i.e. 3 and 1/2 turn out or 3 and 3/4 turn, etc).

Then set the same for the one that has got problem.

I did that for my previous chopper but might not be suitable for yours.

Anyone can confirm if process is correct?
