Parking a Marina Bay Financial Centre pedestrain walkway..WARNING!..Kanna target liao

Just a friendly advise to those bikes parking on the pedestrain pavement next to the empty plot of land across the road from Marina Bay financial Centre....

 

Since this week Monday 12 Jun 2011 - Thursday 17 Jun 2011, Certis Cisco and LTA launched a cramp down on illegal parking on pavement which resulted in more than 100 bikes parked over there kanna summon. Before that, it's a haven for bikes FREE parking since the beginning of last year or so until last monday. More often, if you go there on weekdays or weekends.... no space to park.

 

And those people who worked at the Marina Bay Link Mall or nearby construction site or go shopping often park their bikes on the walkway there, including those Malaysian bikes and Singaporean bikes.

 

So spread the word around!!!!! That place already target liao.... Now all park under the big tree.

Because car population still more than bikes. so bike parking is always an after thought in building design.

All the weird corners or spare space only for bikes, they rather plant grass or fill a water feature than to do proper bike lots.

Actually, many of the office buildings in the CBD provide free parking for bikes, but only to staff. In every office building there will be staff who ride to work as well as dispatch riders. You can try riding into the office car parks and hope they don't stop you. If they ask whether you work there just say yes or pretend that you're a dispatch rider from another company?
