Guys, Another friend and I intend to do a 3 days trip going from Singapore to Kuantan from Jun 21 and return on June 23 ie. Thursday to Saturday. Anyone interested in joining us? Both of us are very careful riders and my friend ride an 883 and I ride a 1200C. It will be a slow and steady trip with some sightseeing in Kuantan and hopefully some durian along the way.

My tires are due soon too, have been doing fishtails too with this wet weather.

Agreed its dangerous & should be top priority. I got a quote from Dstreetcustoms around $500+ for avon tires front & back include install.

Still shopping around heard Shunfu is cheap... Anyone here have experience?

Bro, I've a metzeler front tyre at twins performance (toh guan) selling cheap cheap...

Same here, wish i could join you guys and bring my iron on her maiden voyage.

But i have 9 month old twins... Four kids in total. (i can't believe it too, & don't ask me how it happened)

Might just be able to get Visa approval for a day trip (God willing) but 3days 2nights at least not for another half to one year.

Enjoy and share some pics, stories so that it's like we were there too. Haha

just passed inspection this morning. inspector don't know much abt Harley, run here & there, ask senior for info. waste my time!

Which inspection centre did u go to?

Hi,

My name is Lin, yes sportsters are favourite, although I have another tourer harley. I used to own 883H and rode to phuket before. Very good bike.

Currently for sportster, I am ridding 883R.

pls count me in if you guys all sporty are planning to go out for ride friday nights or saturday nights.

Hi,

 

Nearly bought a new Iron 883 just now but pulled back after knowing it's a one seater. I got to pay another $500 to install the back seat & foot rest but the back seat design is quite awful. Somehow I kinda take for granted that all Sportser is 1200cc. When I test ride the Iron, I realised it's a little bit under power & the bike doesn't rumbles as much as his other models... need some motivation here....

Guys,

 

Thanks Jack for starting this thread, it would be nice to meet up with fellow sportster riders.

 

I've been as far north as Phuket and Koh Samui on my previous bikes. But i didn't lead those, so whilst i'd say they are not difficult rides (aside from having enough time and endurance), i wouldn't be able to help plan those - yet :).

 

Since getting my Iron, i started planning my own rides - which is a nice change. Aside from one with HOG, i've done a few day rides around Johor state - there's lots of beautiful roads to explore - and all doable in an afternoon or more. My last ride was up to Kuantan, also a lovely ride.

 

So if anyone is keen to wet their feet let me know and i can organize a 'virgin run' :)

 

i've appended Dave's, Marco's, Lin's and my name on the list. If you are adding yourself, please do a cut and paste too so we don't lose anyone along the way.

A 'virgin' ride will be definitely a must for me.

 

I have never ridden more than from Changi to Jurong and back.

 

I heard there is a Tri Nation ride which stretch for a week. Any ideas?
