I am looking to purchase and install an after market exhaust and air filter. Likely to be getting the akraproviv carbon for the exhaust. Filter remains unsure yet though. I am also looking to get the PC5 and do dyno tuning. Need some opinions from you guys:

 

1. Air filter. K&N or BMC? And why?

 

2. Dyno and Tuning. Where is the preferred place for the dyno run and tuning? I only know of 3 dyno machines in sg: HKL, Tachyon and Racewerks. Would appreciate if some of the bros here can share some experiences with the places

air filter wise, K&N n BMC r both cotton gauze filter. not much diff frm either 2 brands. DNA, simota etc r all the same as well. diff is price. c which one u prefer. unless u r talking abt stock paper filter or pipercross foam filter. then there is some theory behind.

 

dyno tuning, 3 places u can do. it depends on where u wanna do it. which is the best, nobody knows. but all r certified dyno tuners by dynojet. HKL is there for long since unity time so ah xiong can say is the most experience, follow by norman at racewerks, last is ah tak at tachyon. tachyon now got promo for pc5 + tuning so if u r looking for cheaper alternative, u might wanna consider doing at tachyon.

is there a significant improvement in braking power with the rotor? i am thinking of whether there is a need to upgrade my brake kit

Anyone got helmet stolen? Last Wednesday went to airport at 5am in the morning and parked the bike at car-park 2A. As usual, I left the helmet locked under the seat. and it is missing (left only the hook) when i came back at night.

 

3years old helmet, open face... so cheap, still people steal it. Sad part is, while cutting the strap the thief scratch the fairing; left quite a number of deep scratch near the pinion handle bar.

didn't do any dyno tuning as yet so not able to comment. but different ppl got different type of experience from different dyno tuners.

No.

 

Different tyre ratings = Different warm up times

Different threads = different efficiency in water channeling

 

As such, there will be different amounts of grip between your front and rear and this will cause some handling issues.
