haha yeah... and together with the so called fork extensions... wrong or rather less structurally sound way to move the forks forward...

Wow, this thread turns out to be such a long discussion in a day. Looks like different folks use different terms. I understood what you said ;)

No I didn't do the fugly fork extension. You got me mixed up with someone else. I just drop from a 21" wheel to a low profile skinned 17", tree raked 5deg. Dropped the rear 2" and extended the fork innards 1" to balance it back. Still a little short on the trail, so a damper is in place to stiffen it.

The look is worth the compromise

Caution: Do not do this on a dyna or sportster. Your neck rake is too small. And mine won't be the only harley using sportsbike tires anymore

nono.. i didnt mean u.. my bad for sounding mixed up haha.. i meant in general ppl usually take the shortcut of using fork extensions together with raked trees to compensate the increased fork length.. fork extensions when done improperly are potential area for stress fractures..

i dont have an answer for that, most probably they wont even allow it to be imported into sg in the first place...if they do i think they will treat it as car and with car COE etc etc

I thought so...

different folks different strokes...for me since the honda evo 6 is confirmed shelfed, i am looking in the goldwing direction again, i need a tourer in my fleet..the last trip i went on my fazer, darn, i am so busy with securing my luggage...:slapforehead:..i missed my st11 and goldwing..:(....in sg, i luv riding on my nightster more than my other rides...:D

You sold your ST11 also? The new Goldwings have GPS.

Hi mak,

I got it from Mah. They have free Triumph test rides now, just like HD. You might want to call them up to arrange. Look for Eugene.

I like the looks of Buell too (the lightning to be exact). But seems like it won't be available in SG anytime soon.

Which Triumph are you looking at? IMHO, since you already got a Sporty bike (XR1200R), your 2nd bike should be something from another genre (maybe a cruiser, a tourer, or a hardcore sportsbike) :)

Erm, BTW, is anyone able to ID the seat on this bike? It looks similar to a Lepera Silhouette seat, but with a HD logo.

BTW, can anyone ID this seat? The pple in the overseas forum say it's a Badlander. But I don't think it is. Unless it's an older version .. ?

i was actually looking into the 2 fighter models.. looks quite appealing eh. i prefer these kinda riding, where the foot is faced down instead of back (sports bike) or front (touring kind)

Oh the Speed/Street Triple ah. But your XR1200R is already similar mah. Just that engine is different. I bought the Iron because I want a relaxing and pillion-friendly bike to ride. But the bike comes with a solo-seat :faint:

XR 1200 not a good ride? thinking of changing bike already?

Congratulatuons Steven :thumb: Hey you should consider installing a coin machine to your bike and ppl can slot in say twenty fifty-cents coins for an hour unlimited ride. It'll help finance the bike...heck i'm sure you'll recoup the cost you laid out for the bike...:D

Its a nice looking bike ... not sharing.

I meet another friendly sportster at CTE exit moulmein road last sat. Just wanna say hi if he is in this forum.
