Hi guys, newbie here .

anyone have ridden the M900? lookin for my first class2 bike and considering it.

Thanks and ride on!

Only consider a classic ducati if u r ready to spend. Cheap to buy, a ***** to make it rite. But a classic on its own. Worth restoring if u goin to keep for at least 5 yrs.

hey guys, my gt1000 just hit 20000km.

Is there any item that needs to be changed at this milestone? Also, my EOBD light has been lit while engine is running for abt a week, no other problems though. Wonder if its sensor problem.

As far as I know, full service 24K jnc valve adjustment, on top of the usual eo change, filters, plugs, brake pads etc. You might want to install a fatduc o2 manipulator as well. If eo light is lit, means needs oil change. Have you checked oil level?

Dreamed I was a muffler. Woke up exhausted.

H4 is bulb type. Generally there are H3, H4 and H7, H4 being the dual beam. So if u are already on H4 u cant fit a H3 or H7 hence making ur qns invalid.

Engine check light on? Chances are 1 of our sensors is busted. If not like hann says, check ur EO level. 24k servicing is full servicing. Would set u back abt $1k +/-.

On top of what h@nn already mentioned you will probably want to change belts at 24k, Change clutch n brake fluids, and check other wear n tear parts like clutch plates, chain n sprockets, wheel n steering bearings.

Don't think there's any way to check the error code that's causing the light to come on other than using a diagnostic software.

hi, anyone looking for a Fat Duc o2 manipulator ? i just took it out and not using it already.

Thanks. Will find a time to check it out. Engine oil level looks fine to me. Was told to change belts at 20K. If most of you guys are saying 24K, i'll probably hold the change till 24k.

By the way, the manual says EOBT light, and its the light that is at the bottom of all the other lights. Just to be sure we're taking about the same light.

Mine comes on too for 30 secs while engine is running. I'm running a fatduc tho so it's just adjusting most likely. Bike runs perfectly fine.

The newer bikes have electronic fast throttle upon start up, which runs lean, most probably thats ur reason.

Abt 18k depending on yr...

There are better Ducatis to consider with that amount of money IMO. Just my two cents.

Hi Guys, I have just acquired a 2010 Monster 1100 and thought I would reach out to you all to say hi, and to request your assistance on a couple of questions as a new Ducati owner! Apart from Minerva who else would you recommend to work on your prize and joy? I know we have lots of bike shops to choose from but who really knows Ducati's? Also any thoughts on best place to by a Single SwingArm Paddock Stand? I know Motorworld does them, but they seemed pretty pricey... Thanks Dan

Nice bike. Power just right compared to 6 and 7. Most of us go to Mike at Kallang Cycle, Raymond at Bike Harbour, and Norman at Racewerks. For parts generally still Minerva. Singhla might have some lobang for paddock stand. You can pm him. Hi btw, welcome to the club. Join us for our meetups to socialize. Incidentally some of us will be at Mutiara restaurant at block 7 eunos crescent to catch the Malaysia vs Singapore game on tv. Drop by if free. Cheers!

It'll be rude if no 1 answers u so i'll say that if u're looking for affordable performance then u should stay japanese.

But to answer ur qns, the 696 is a competent city bike. But loses out to its competition like the shiver. Optimal power is between 3k-5k rpm just like most 2v ducatis. The 796 is the improved version of the 696. Never ridden a drz so i cant tell u if its better but i can say that the 696 should be able to do 180-200 comfortably...
