procedure may vary, but for me, cross-traffic turns red/right-turn green arrow finish 3rd blink.

one one-thousand, two one-thousand, GGGOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

of course, all this while checking to make sure cross-traffic has really come to a stop.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

it is very good practice to have a quick 3 count just in case that corss traffic lacer thinks he's still fast enough although the lights are red.....

I'm rather irritated at riders/drivers who impatiently rev and squeeze ahead over the white line at traffic junctions waiting for the light to turn green. These are the people who cause congestion as they utterly fail each and every time to accelerate away.

They should be ashamed that a humble Phantom would patiently wait at the lights, time the lights (the proper way) and overtake them all instantly :p

sometimes w/o timing the lights also can la.. :p they are sooooo sloww!

encountered wat u meant, so many times...

sometimes when drivers see bikers coming up, they purposely drive over the stop line. neh mind, i wait patiently at the lane split line lor, since they are in "such a rush".

den green light, ning nong piang! tot they are in "such a rush"? that they cannot even tolerate a small bike being in front of them? must QIONG ald?! end up move off like tortoise.. :sian:

 not to mention the speeding bus driver, the speeding truck driver, the speeding cyclist, the speeding pedestrian... :faint:

today while on the way to thomson from the west via PIE, saw one uncle riding phantom and his side stand was down! heart drop for him sia, scared he turn left then bye bye, up ahead was the left turn up the flyover. sped up and shouted + signalled to him that his sidestand was down, but think he noticed it alr, waved waved and then moved off to the shoulder to take care of it. was wearing a white FU.

i thank my lucky stars my bike has sidestand engine cut.

we are riding for transport and passion.. not point competing who moves off the fastest once the light turn green..

you might never know what the cross traffic is thinking.. furthermore some traffic lights changes in timing according to traffic..

i always check cross traffic before moving off..

anyway, today really pissed with lorries and vans with speed limits at 70kph..

many are travelling at lane 2 on a 4 lanes expressway!!!

to make things worst, they are travelling at their speed limit..

many cars and bikes overtook on their left..

if it's a 3 lanes section, it's ok.. but a long stretched 4 lanes??

on thomson road near novena junction, i saw TP diversion taking IC from motorized-bicycle rider.. he was riding on the road without helmet..

wonder what would be the penalty ? no helmet ? non-approved vehicle ?

if there are no cars waiting to move off... i take my time

else i just go for a quick 1-2-3 whilst looking left & right for cross traffic before i let it rip... haha

Lane-split at your own risk, especially during rain.

If u are slow, kindly queue behind the cars

If u are fast, pls be careful and pray hard that the cars in front won't swing out suddenly

Well... my lane-splitting is always at +20-30km/h. Dare not go faster than that.

When I know that the faster squeezing bike are coming my way, I always find the fastest opportunity to 'siam' by giving way to them. I only continue splitting after them.
