Did a couple of dumb things while riding these couple of days.

Yesterday on the way home from Planet, my bike was behaving a bit weird, pick up was sluggish and the idling was rather high, I kept adjusting the idling. 1/2 round less, then 3/4 round less then another 1/2 a round. Weird.....

 

Then while pondering this strange phenomenon at the red light, I realised I had the choke on....

Then I did another dumb thing. My first thought was "So press back the choke the problem will go away right?" So I press the choke and the engine immediately died off. Crap! Forgot I turned the idling 1 and 3/4 round slower! :slapforehead:

Had to paddle to the side of the road to adjust the idling before can restart.

 

Then today while riding, after I started riding for a while, the idling again shoot up, but super rapidly!!! All the way to 4,000 RPM

OMG!!! What happened, I can't even engage first gear from neutral! Then engine suddenly died off! Oops! Today forgot to turn the fuel c0ck to "on" hahaha

Hey can anyone tell me about about what's my sentence ? I got 3 riding without licence , 3 charge riding without insurance . 1 riding without owner's consent . I bought the bike , but haven't transfer bike ownership . Than while riding , tp caught me at West coast . Other than that , i've got 3 charges , theft of vehicle . But i only stand at there . Didn't touch nor what . But is also counted common intention . So , can anyone roughly tell me about my sentence . All first time charge on court . And i'm only 17 this year . Thankyou brothers and sisters .

You better ask the judge on the actual trial day instead of asking us.

Because if I were the judge the sentence is "You DIE!!!!"

Ok, maybe no need to die, but something close to it.

Because you really could have died and pretty much deserve it. Crap. So many goood people died on the road instead where is the justice in this.

 

Anyway, we can't really help you on this, because... ...

 

First off, none of us are lawyers, and if there are, they aren't telling.

 

Secondly, if you have been reading up here, the support for riding without licence is virtually zero.

 

Thirdly, riding without insurance will pretty much turn off everyone here from helping you. You know why? Because if you rode without licence and insurance and bang one of us, and we become permenantly disabled and can no longer hold a job to feed our family, we cannot claim against your insurance, because you don't have insurance. And you did it 3 times.

 

Fourthly, if you got a charge for bike theft, most of us here will be more inclined to give you a good walloping rather than to help you, as many of us have lost either part of our bikes (mirrors, calipers, exhaust header, brake lever....) in some cases the whole bike.

 

And lastly, there is a legality section on the SBF forum to post this on. Not here. This is the wrong section for it.

 

Speak to a good lawyer, with luck you might avoid a jail sentence. That's all I have to say to you.

Not everyone here is judge by profession. But by reading from ure case, ure most likely to be slapped with a fine or jail or both. The court also does not count upon whether ure 1st time or hundredth times charged in court. Therefore the number of appearance in court does not determine the outcome of the final judge decision.

ytd while riding at night, i rode as usual with my HID turned on. exited stevens road and was on the left lane. stupid taxi cut into my lane while turning despite knowing i was just right beside him so i quickly siam to the left lane. the car infront was brightly lit up due to my HID as i was just directly behind him turning into a filter lane. aft filtering, the driver delibrately drove slowly so i overtook him on the right lane.

 

aft knowing that i overtook him, he quickly sped up and turned on his high beam. i din realize because my jacket was partially blocking the view of my mirrors and i only notice this when i check my mirror to see if my fren was still following me. according to my fren, the car was following all the way behind me with the high beam turned on. probably the driver tot i delibrately turned on my HID when i was right behind him

Is your headlights' angle too high? Normally HID if proper light beam angle it should not offend other road users. On the other hand, I appreciate HID users behind me lighting up the whole road and sides, provided angle does not blind me.

So being 17 doesn't mean u can get away..

U cud still face jail term or reformative training..

Coz u are young and if u dun face it now.. U will never learnt on how much we treasure our lives and rides.. U dun deserve a walk away.. U deserve to face the judge..

anyway this morning, saw the SJA4895J nissan march driver like a F1 racer along depot road. cut here cut there with no signal or check blind spot, tailgate container truck and cut out when he was totally blind to wads in front of him. real piaker siah

if you are wondering why during rainy period alot of accident, here's the reason why:

 

at abt 9pm last night when I was leaving my office, it started to rain. the floor gets pretty wet, so I slowed down, going at 70km/h at most and rode on the left lane. but no, the traffic DID NOT. Instead, as if they have no cage to shelter them, all speed up like mad. I had one van with max 60km/h overtook me at Singapore Poly (using bus lane on the left) revving at about 100km/h, looks like it almost flown. somewhere down the road, anxious VIOS driver lane changed from Lane 1 to 3, going at near to 100km/h and cut into Clementi Ave 6 and a whole lot more... dun these ppl know when it first started raining, thereis something called aqua planing and therefore you should be slower?

 

btw, really PISSED off with Mazda advertisement on the radio. 0-100km/h in 1 minute? Singapore where got road with speed limit of 100km/h and more? encourage speeding?

this morning while turning into my office building, nearly got knocked down by this toyota stream cos the driver oversteered at a bend, suddenly cutting into my lane and almost sideswipe me. i gave a short burst of horn and driver went back to his lane.

 

when i pass him a few seconds later, he admit his mistake and gave me a hands up apology.
