It might be that gear only, let planet ah chong do a diagnose for you ;) or friendly mech. That could be caused by condensation dude, perhaps you might want to stick your finger there and then feel if its EO or not. It might also be your left side gasket is leaking. If unsure, post some pictures. Very useful.

dudes.

whenever i kick to gear 5 got this weird sound.. only on that gear. so must i change gear 5 alone .. or i have to change the all 6gears ? roughly how much would that be ? and one more thing. whenever i park my bike. the next morning i go to it. there will be a pool of i think EO on the ground.. looks like the leak coming from the left side.. dunno what seems to be the prob.

thanks =D

all phantom eo leaks...always found on left side(in fact all bikes with side stand eo leaking always found there)...bike stand lean to the left..

have to observe and figure ou where it comes from...

yeah..always have spare EO for topping up...check dip stick regulary..

if bike really dry..use any oil( cooking oil, used eo etc) available to get to your repair shop..IMHO

Very informative!

My bike auto on headlight when ignition switch on, haha bor pian.

The symptoms I experience were initially, I just could not start the bike, battery was on (relatively new & good batt, few months old, YUSHA).

After attempting to start engine & throttle in a couple of times, battery got weaker. Attempted push start a few times, then battery died.

I am puzzled as to why ah chong said the battery cannot be salvaged/ recharged. Forgot to ask him! Did my repeated attempts to start & push start destroy my battery cos my rectifier was dead?

Any idea why this happens? Would like to avoid a 2nd time..

Some battery can be recharged... but not those type that used up la.... can see the expandsion on the side bloated..... push start is a method to start bike, to charge a bit of battery if your battery is still working... normally push start will not destroy your battery or rectifier BECOZ... when u need to push start they is someting wrong with your battery or rectifier already.......

hahaaaaa.... so better get mech to see........

Sound like gear 5 spoilt. Best get a trusted mechanic to check it out. If only gear 5 spoil, just change gear 5 will do.

But be warned, this is usually a sign that the other gears are also about to become like that also.

When the mech change the gear, ask if the other gears still ok or not.

If about to die also, then might as well change. It's cheaper to do all at once rather than 6 time, once for each gear.

Leaking engine oil, quite common, but if you got the money to spare, it would be best to change the rubber lining. It's less than $50 to change.

Bros,

Wanna ask if brake fluid starts leaking from my front brake reservoir, is this a serious prob? wanna check if I can let it 'tong' until next week then check. It's a slow leak.

After a wipe, it starts leaking after abt 10km.

had something that sounds like what you are experiencing... the leak is from the rubber part where the lever depresses into the reservoir... 'tong' a week before finally brining it in to Planet for fix...

initially changed the "pin" only but seems that not compatible (after depress lever cannot bounce back) so in the end had to change the whole reservoir...

be careful! brake fluids are killer to paintwork... my advise is always make sure that there is enough brake fluid in the reservoir and to get it fixed as soon as you can... :goodluck:

ahhhaaa...desperate measure need desperate solution mah..or else engine may suffer irrepairable damage..

just like some sbf use it to oil chain...

hi bros,

My signal lamps are not working tis morning when I was riding this morning.. battery n rectifer had just been changed last month. Bike starts on first press of ignition. Any one got any idea what might be wrong n the cost of repair?

Posted

What is your meaning of not working??

Blink very fast?

Blink very slow?

Not Blinking?

Nothing at all?

Need more description dude...

Since you said u changed battery already, maybe is the bulb burnt, maybe you might want to consider changing the relays or something...
