That time I also use gold one..Why no mirrors you are asking? Well..You guys are stil in the infant stages..Still not good at controlling bikes..Jerk/stop a bit then wobble and drop bike..What will happen to side mirror? Break la of cos..Mirror also cost $..I dunno if some got at least one..When that time I was taking..All the pract 1 bikes not even one single side mirror..Anyway pract 1 just stick to one lane..Follow instructor..Don't worry no one will cut you..They also know you still new..But no side mirror still must check blindspot..Safety is the important thing here..To pass the practs you must portray to them that you can handle the bike at all times and that you prioritize safety before any other..

Don't give up..If you fall get up and try again..I'll be waiting for you on the roads..:cheeky:

i got question! how to clear narrow plank smoothly and slowly?

i got no problem going straight and balancing on the plank, but timing always quite fast.. not slow enough.. open and hold throttle, play with clutch.. and hold rear brake?

my timing always about 5secs.. at most 5.6secs.. :sian: how??

pylon slalom not much difficulties too.. same for e-brake.. only the stupid plank...

take your own sweet time... dont rush...

Release your clutch a little bit only. Dont release so much... just when the bike can move, hold onto that clutch position. Throttle just turn abit also.. dont open so much.

:goodluck:

Visor Down , Full Throttle

Go slow..Look forward..Don't look down and near..Look far..If you look down you tend to turn your bars left and right and will make you fall off the plank..Another method is to tap your brakes and go slow..This of course if you know how to tap (feather) your brakes..Not just jam it and then die..Ahaha..As for me I've no problem whatsoever even if I stay stationary on the plank for some time then move off..But do it at your own risk tho..

brother brother, look carefully.. i'm able to go straight and balance on the plank. just the speed is too fast.. always clear the section less than the required timing..:help:

how about hold the brake while maintaining the throttle? machiam like pulling handbrakes on.. can do trackstand on the plank anot? :cheeky:

Duh..Of coz go fast can balance..If you go slow surely fidget here and there..I'm sure everyone can clear it fast but slow it takes lots of balance..Anyway if not confident just go fast la..Better get points than immediate right?

Trackstand? Can..The last time I did that during my revision the insructor shout at me to go faster..:cheeky:

my timing always about 5 - 5.5 secs... can never hit 6secs..

true true.. better to get points than to get immediate failure.. let's see if i can clear the prac tomorrow anot..

your trackstand use front or rear brake? cannot touch front brake on plank right?

I don't see why you can't press the front brake..Afterall its a brake and its supposed to slow/stop you..What the instructors always tell you is to go up the plank with some speed..As for me I go up slowly..Half clutch..Brakes when needed and count..

but then again, instructors say to maintain throttle, half-clutch and tap brake. all at same time. how to open throttle and use front brake.. possible la, but very awkward...

but never mind! i just cleared prac 4.. later going for revision.. get the feel for long long timing for plank and short short timing for fig-8.. :cheer:

now i go up plank slow, middle fast.. halfway point, slow slow again.. :bounce:

hmm..... i remembered that for plank u can only use rear brake no front brake ..... Anyway, the best and safest way is to go up the plank slope fast with momentum ... once on the plank, press rear brake and maintain half clutch all the way through .... adjust ur throttle accordingly ....eyes look far far away .... very important.... eyes look far far away ...... coz last time i try many methods .... and if i look at the wheels sure go down .....
