hey guys, wats the fuel consumption lyk for R6?? per litre? tankx in advance

just saw the 08 today....looks similar to the 06/07....but the cutting more sleek and nicer.

 

1) 2 piece undertray...

2) stock fork was already dropped 12mm at triple clamp....maybe they using 06/07 forks with different internal setup(not too sure)

3) rider sit got ass shape.

4) the catalyzer is a little bigger....maybe that makes the 08 4-5kg heavier.

 

 

so long a bike has a welded catalyzer, dun waste ur money put slip on....llike suzuki, when u change slip on, catalyzer is removed. but for yamaha, unless u cut it off which is considered illegal mod.

 

 

 

i dunt quite get abt da catalyzer part... meaning all da slip on for r6 08 r illegal?

AM slip-ons are legal, provided they are street legal.

 

but if you mod your stock headers by removing the catalyzer w/o getting AM headers, that is an illegal mod.

wah..finally home... bike downstairs...hahah....have a tough time taking out the fender eliminator....super troublesome..i tot its plug n play...haiz... wah!! great riding an r6..look forward for meet up.... r6 08 30 units all sold...my fren have to wait for the next shipment cause bikeshop only get 3 piece from HL... bikeshop say next shipment end jan or early feb...

 

btw saw the black one at my bikeshop...hmmm its not black its like dark metallic grey...quite nice like the 07 grey (us version) chio sia...

I also took out the rear mudguard, but now only fix with brackets. Quite stable also.

 

Tried to change the pole light but seems like quite diffcult. took out the windshield and still canot.

din use it for quite somtime n wen i wana send my wife to work, plugg it bt nt working.. guess d batt hd gone kaput liao...

 

Isit within 5 years? If it is.. you can try & go for warranty! Smoke then as much as u can that you "use it & connected" normally. Smile more.. it works in many scenerios.

i also come down and push bike ^_^ got use to it already and it isnt so bad as our bike is pretty light.

 

My word of advice for those whom just got their bike, if your not confident or comfortable sitting on your bike to reverse+going forward for parking or what so ever or slopes, please get down from your bike to push as it really is not worth it for the bike to fall.

 

 

Bingo.. see not that difficult rightey? Gives more confident in carpark manourves. Whatever happens (on the left) you got at least 50kg of bodyweight to tahan instead of 1 leg or 2 hand tahaning at a "point of no return" falling angle.

 

If i so skinny like "tek-ko" can push.. many sure can!

I took out bit by bit (windshield, polelight screw, pieces of front fairing...what a hassle.) & ended up choosing removing the whole front sao tao (lights & everything) just to change the pole light on the 1st day.... removing the whole front is SO MUCH faster.

 

Whatever pole light you buy (especially LED) it better not blow easily! "fingers crossed"

loll. erp is a biatch man. my 9v batt die 3times in less den 2mth. buying rechargable soon.recently went town without iu unit,thought sat no erp. boom. right turn to town after clarke quay got 1. turn off key turn off engine rode pass it.. haha dont know this trick can work anot. anwayy...................................... any interested to whackaton/pump gas 2ndlink sunday nite ? pm me !

Mine running at 17km/litre....

 

guys check with u izzit a must to fix on PC3 if i using full system akra...

read in some forum it say that it will b harmful to the engine cos there it will be backfire due to running lean.....

 

and also illegal akra header can fix legal akra encan nicely or require mod.....

Cos currently i have a full sys akra and a street legal micron. If can rite i will sell off my micron and buy a legal akra endcan..... if not then seng kwang... haha

 

Also any1 using CRG lever? where do i get it locally? about how much... $350?
