What i meant was to protect the wall from us, cos they aint gonna fix up the wall if we crash through. :angel:

bro, U misunderstood me too. I definitely understand what U meant juz that I was trying to say that, to crash into the wall makes 1 seems like a ruff ryder..

 

ruff ryder = fierce racer.

 

I may not be a frequent trackie but I definitely remember the year 1995 when my cousin brother brought me to PG where he raced his TZR250..

 

Today, 12yrs later I told him abt PG and he shook his head and said the track's a goner till they consider to tar it back. An the resurfacing project from what I heard from Wak of PG, it's confirmed..

One of the main issues they've got to look into is their gravel trap. If you've been in there with some high residual speed, you'll know it's really a 'trap'. I think they might as well change the term to 'gravel Whoops'! No kidding, some of these gravel traps have MX style whoops to give you a rodeo style ride into the gravel.

 

i second that. i lost the front at Lucas, which is not a good place to do so, and slid with all that speed into the gravel.

 

i was fine while on the road, but the gravel 'entrance' had a bump followed by ripples which really tumbled me awkwardly. luckily i only escaped with a bruised neck. good lesson tho, it taught me why i need speed humps on the back of my suit... and to watch out for those gravel ripples...

 

and it's great that they are resurfacing, but i do hope they don't do another sepang blunder where the resurfacing was ridiculous. also gotta watch out - new surface will be a little slippery.

Would be great if anyone can find out and post the dates PG will be closed for resurfacing, i think its a long needed break for us guys to send our bike to spray shops or engine top end over haul, install high com or what ever during the off-peak season, ;)

It would be good to have new tarmac. Can't wait for the news to outbreak to us... Time to prepare more rubbers to 'run-in' the track...

 

Wondering how long will it takes to resurface the tarmac?

With the Singapore tracks coming up... the PG owners would be making a right move to resurface the track.

 

After tat, they will be increasing the rate.

i hope if resurfaced/renovated......they make turn 6 like turn 5 in sepang....the run off area has an extra piece of tarmac there

based on last year, after a thunderstorm, turn 5 and bmw exit had a lot of sand. the workers were cleaning for about 3 hrs....turn 5 was ok. bmw exit still had sand.

 

at times, u can see a stream at turn 5 and streamS a turn 6
