The most quiet bike I hear or rather didn't hear today is the White TP Bike.

Anyone know what bike that is?

 

It is really quiet. At the junction from Thomson to Farrer Road, this morning, a TP stop right behind me. I didn't know he was there until I saw a flicker in my right mirror, and to my amazment, it's a TP on his white bike!

 

Traffic was heavy, so we were all packed together at the Red light. Then the TP started creeping forwards, and all the while I was listening to his bike's engine as he crept nearer and nearer, like a white ghost, until he was right beside me. And the only sound I could hear was a light whirling, like the running of an electric dynamo.

 

The TP then proceeded to lane split, squeezing past between the lorry I stopped behind and the van on my right. And in a heart beat, he was gone like the white ghost he is... ...

I know that most sports bikes are noisy coz their pipes are being changed and their mufflers removed. Still, i'm curious to know which sports bikes are the quietest...

Maybe "quiet" is a charateristic to suit you, sis.

Is it this? The whirling sound is the sound of gear driven cams of the previous model of VFR.

It depends on what kind of noise are you talking about. I personally love the strong revving bike sounds, but absolutely hate those Kupkias and SP150s...

I absolutely hate and detest noisy, high-pitched, 2-stroked bikes ridden by those bloody idiots who think they are racing in Moto GP. My room is just beside the road and you can imagine how difficult it is for me to go to sleep at night with these idiots zooming past every few minutes. I have developed a habit of cursing them, hoping that they will crash at the next bend (which is just around the corner). I know .. I sound very harsh. But that is what you'll do when you suffer from lack of sleep EVERY NIGHT.

 

Loud, low-pitched, strong thumping pipes I don't mind. But simply can't stand those teeneee weeneee fiaking irritating high-pitched tones generated by those idiots.

Woah that's fierce statement you got there. But actually is cos some 2strokers really love to keel revving their bikes. I know it's too clear the white smoke but then after revving like more then 10times i think they are juz playing around. My room is beside a MSCP and i know how it feels.

Nothing strange, completely reasonable. If you crash because not alert due to of lack of sleep by these idiots how? You think Judge and TP wil blame those rascals or blame you for being irresponsible? Especailly if you work shift and early morning got a fcuking Gara Goony man "Peah! Peah! Peah!" at night got idiots "Peeeneee weeneee" at your MSCP you also will feel like killing them.

i myself ride a sp and i find my bike noisy sometimes..

the sound really cant be helpped.

but without the peh peh peeehhhh ... i cant attain good top speed ..

Yes I agree, sound from 2-strokers are like that but some idiots make it worse by modifying thier pipes to make them sound more irritating! I think there is something wrong with their hearing if they find that kind of sound nice. I thought that kind of sound belongs to the early 1990s ah bengs??!?!! Of course you can go full throttle all you want on the expressways, BUT not in residential areas please.

 

Hehe .. I rather be on my bed TRYING to go to sleep. Besides, I won't want to stand at the road side just to copy their numbers and I don't know whether I can see their numbers. I might wanna throw stones at them. Even if I get their numbers, what can I do? I think the only solution is to relocate. Argh ....

 

Sorry to the thread starter for going off topic. My advice to you is, get a 4-stroke sports bike. Don't have to top up 2T oil, they produce less smoke and you won't be cursed by pple like me haha. Yamaha R125 is coming out next year. It looks like a mini R6 and it's 4-stroke. Nice .. but the downside is .. there is no 2nd-hand right now and it's not very worth it to get a brand-new 125cc bike unless you are sticking with it for a few years.

Actually i really don't mind, cos i know in the morning if they don't clear their white smoke later go out get fined $70 by the ROV or TP then jia lat. But if they rev like 3 ~ 5 times still ok. Like juz now, some one juz rev and rev then my neighbour who also ride a 2stroker (rxz) came out of his house and shouted down (btw i live on the 3rd floor). That krr he rev and hold his throttle for 5 ~ 10 secs each time. hai~ But i also find that sp and krr is a good bike so as what my officer always say, "suck thumb"

wa lau 2 days ago i riding on CTE and i overtook one civic on lane 1 by cutting in between lane 1 and 2. then after that he keep on trying to get in front of me. dunno what's wrong with these ppl.
