For a biker on a middle-weight bike like me, I would like to applaud the Class 2 bros here in explaining the differences between a sixer and a literbike :thumb:

It's good to be in the know before I make my decision/purchase in the future.

Now I just gotta know what speed in itself really is, before I (hop onto a Class 2 bike and) control it.

Most important is affordability.

Comparison of rd tax, insurance, maintenance and tyres and stuff.

For avid tourers, big cc bikes are better as the have bigger tanks but i noe some big bikes can hold til 200 or mebbe lesser km/full tank.

For sixxers are mostly for trackers.

If u wan to play track, getting a sixer will be enuff due to its compactibilty and its very nimble in control.Due take note that the wheelbase of the bike do play a role in tracking. The shorter the wheelbase, the sharper the cornering.

Busas,BB,Z14 are touring bikes and they are faster on straights than corners. But this can be remedied by adding spacers on the rear suspension to make the wheelbase shorter(for cornering purpose)

In the end it up to the individual what kind of rider he's gonna be.

Tourer or tracker?

I'll choose a 1000cc this time. Having owned an 600cc and 750cc GSXR, it still boils down to not enough power at the end of the day. Now dreaming of the '08 ZX10R already. Modern days 1000cc power delivery is more managable compare to olden days machine. Thus you don't really need to worry about "Will I be able to handle the bike power" things like that. You'll learn to control it. In Singapore, more is still better than less. It the Kiasu mentality.

I rode cbr600f3 for 4 years, gsxr600k4 for 3 years, and now riding gsxr1000k7.

Honestly, if you can afford it (CHECK your finances again & AGAIN!!!), go for the 1000.

Fuel consumption is about the same. And, not so tiring as don't really need to constantly change gears. BUT, make sure you get your right wrist used to the bike first. 600cc can open throttle fast, 1000cc must make sure it is very gradual...

for the make and model of the bike, it all boils down to personal preference. some would prefer a suzuki coz it looks so nice, while some may prefer a kawasaki because of its green

i never tried a 600 before and chose a 1000 because i didn't want to have the feeling "still got a "faster" bike out there, haven't try before, must buy and ride before i leave my helmet for display"
