LOLZ...... what a train of thought deus....

 

Looks like btm line is TF movie is just a cash cow!! bring back the original Animated series!!! (At least the laser did go PEW PEW during that time.... wait are there any lasers in the movie?? :cheeky:)

and why is she being manhandled by everyone except her "boyfriend"?

If the decepticons kidnapped sam' parents, why were they not used as hostages? instead they just let them meet and run away happily. their brains dun seem as advanced as themselves?

 

How come Sam was blown off to the point that he literally got shaken to death, but there was no injuries to him whatsoever on that flung? When he crashed onto the ground only his heart stopped, no other parts were affected at all. Kanna, Bay obviously never watch war movie b4. :sian: lame.

u noticed it took quite a no. deceptacons 15-20mins to get anywhere near the pillars in the final scence, being held off by a few tanks and less than a platoon with rifles while sam managed to bypass them and make it there quicker on foot??!?!?

 

 

too many loopholes in the movie, so dont bother breaking them down n analysing.

 

 

just sit back, watch and dont ask any questions after.

'My name is Khan. I am not a terrorist.' These two sentences become the essence of the movie. Shah Rukh Khan plays a man who suffers from Asperger Syndrome and the movie tells the story of his trails and tribulations of growing up, his move to America, his love story with Mandira, a single mum who is a hairdresser and how after 9/11, not only his world but the world of all Muslims in America came crushing down. After a family tragedy befalls him, he goes on a journey to meet up with the President of the United States to inform the president that though his name is Khan and he is a Muslim, those do not equate to him being a terrorist.

 

This movie is Shah Rukh Khan's most memorable role to date. There are no fancy fight, dance or song scenes but just raw, human emotions and opinions as seen through the eyes of Khan as he narrates all that he had encounter and experienced in a diary addressed to the love of his life, Mandira. Actress Kajol plays Mandira and the onscreen chemistry that works between SRK and herself in movies like 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Kabhi Kushi Kabhi Gham', is not lacking at all in this one. In fact, their ongoing collaboration as a couple has made them fit like a glove as a married couple undergoing prejudice and hardships in this story.

 

I personally feel that this movie should do what 'Forrest Gump' did for Tom Hanks. If 'Slumdog Millionaire' won best picture for last year, then this year's best picture should be 'My Name Is Khan'. The strong messages that this movie want to deliver may make some people take offence due to the way the scenes are portrayed but watch it objectively and you'll see the bigger picture.

 

All in all, 'My Name Is Khan' is one rollercoaster ride of pure human emotions and a movie that is DEFINITELY worth watching...:thumb:

When I first found out who the actors are to play the roles of the Green Hornet and Kata, I was like huh? I've no idea who Seth Rogen is and as for Jay Chou, I was thinking, isn't he the Taiwanese singer? The lead actor in Kungfu Dunk? The one who is not a martial artist like Jet Lee or Mark Dacascos (of Crying Freeman fame)? Just as expected, the leads are seriously miscasted. Seth Rogen as Britt Reid a.k.a. the Green Hornet, is laughable as he portrays the hero as a rich delinquent. A hero with no vision. Just out looking for crimes to feel high and seek attention. Ditto to his sidekick, Kato. I can barely make out what Jay Chou is saying half of the time and his fighting scenes have to resort to Matrixlike special effects. The only saving grace in this movie is Cameron Diaz who plays Lenore Case, Britt's secretary who unknowingly got dragged into the furore that is the Green Hornet because Britt told her to do investigations on him and he follows up on her theories as the Green Hornet.

 

Even with crows feet, Diaz is still hot and desirable BUT not as hot and sexy like when I first saw her in 'The Mask' with Jim Carrey. I have to admit, even with miscasted actors, the movie is still watchable and has high entertainment value with its adrenaline pumped action scenes and humourous quips between the two lead actors. I still stand by my first opinion that Jet Li, Rain or Mark Dacascos would have made a better Kato. As for Britt, hmmmm never really considered that so no one in mind. Overall rating for the movie, a tad too comedic for The Green Hornet but still enjoyable fare nevertheless... :thumb:
