erm.. paying $180 for a original Stanley headlight is not really cheap but good investment for those that wanna upgrade for better lightings..

but paying $180 for a chiong CMD one is very expensive.. even you consider the labour in..

DIYing is not that difficult, but does takes a lot of time and effort.. dun be surprise it can take up to 4hrs to fix the headlight..

$180 still quite reasonable. Seems lk boon S**w selling $140.

Fixing on my own...lol tink tk 6hr or more. Cos i using RXZ headlight. Other than the headlight wat r the tinks needed to change to orginal headlight.

Example signal light or mayb signal relay for pilot light , mine dun hav or h4 socket? Cos dun tink RXZ headlight using h4 ba.

4hrs to replace headlight?? Got such big diff from Spec 1 headlight? My spec 1 remove whole headlight, re-wire and replace signal lights, change meter bulb, re-wire horn and horn relay, relocated front number plate and re-assemble everything back takes slightly more then 3hrs only.. That include stripping some wires, re-crimpping of connectors and heat shrinking some exposed wires..

Like that i wanna change to spec 3 headlight scared sia!

heyhey,

I experience it first hand.. I got my clear chiong headlights for $100 + installations... I have HID on also... from what i observe is that the light focus cannot make it. But with HID on.. no need too much focus...

as for the melting.. been using it for couple of weeks le... no sign of melting.. cause the connector itself is included in the package of HID...

hope my 2c helps...
