Hi guys, i do have a few important question to check from you experience people. Firstly, for the pulsar 200NS issit more easier to hit 120km/h? Second, for long run usuage which means almost the whole day riding it and with fast(above 100) and slow speed, are the bike able to susbtain? Third, if i were to buy a ns200. any idea where to do modification, servicing and also is there any pipe that can change to?

note: im a delivery guy. so usuage of bike is really high.

Both above models can still be purchased brand new? Both are air & oil cooled right? Whats the OTR less insurance now? Thanks.

Actually if going over 100 very often, why not wait for the 375 to come out. After all the duke is already out.

Hi fellow pulsarians, just a quick question : How can i increase pulsar 180's top speed alittle? My bike runs at 80kmph with 7.5 rpm

try downsizing your sproc so your engine stress will be less and higher speeds...

can go to http://www.gearingcommander.com/ to play around the sizing...

use the above site as just a guide...

you should be on stock sproc size, 15/43...

try downsizing the rear to 40 so you will have balance of pick up and better top end...

if you want really good crusing, downsize the rear to 36...

but you will sacrifice your pick up by a lot...

easier compared to?

if to the previous versions then yes...

basically i think all versions of the pulsar will be able to do it with the right settings...

make sure the regular maintanence is take care of then it should be fine...

we do not recommend modifications...but enhancements we can share...

at the moment no legal pipe for the NS...

for enhancements, universal items like handguards, bar brace, heavy balancers, grips, hazard lights can be done...

belly pans can use s4 ones to fix or wait for the custom ones from indonesia...

indonesia just got their first few batches of the kawasaki bajaj 200ns, do give our brothers there some time for them to come up with custom items for the ns...

there are lots of accessories though from columbia but we have enquired and they do not/don't want to ship to asia...

maybe if a shop enquires and become their dealer maybe they will ship...

P200 no longer has first hand units...

the current 180s are UG4s which is sort of a combined of the P200 and 180...

P200 is oil cooled, 180s are air cooled, 200NS liquid cooled...

for the price please give universal motors a call, not sure of the 180 OTR...

as for the 375, will have to wait for the official launch and the official arrival date in SG...

the 375 high chance will be a full faired bike...

as for the launch date, there is no concrete news yet...likely end of this year...

the official arrival date in SG is a big ?...

if it was to come to SG, chances are there might be delays in the delivery as faced by the 200NS due to bajaj having to fulfill their local market demand first before they export the bikes...

lets wait for the official info...

with the duke 390 at $11,900(don't rmb is machine or otr), the 375 should be cheaper than that...

That's MC only I tink. 11900 + register 100 + 2000 coe = 14000 already.

+ insur = 14-15+ depend on age.

Sorry to bother you guys again but met with another problem today. I accidentally stalled at gear 2 at the traffic light (throwing out too much clutch) and i e-started right away as i had to move off alr and i noticed my entire display was not working.

The speedo and tachometers were not working at all. So need some help and advise on what is the problem and how can i rectify the problem. Is it something to do with loose cables (Since there was a minor jerk when i stalled) or blown fuse?

Am a total noob on such issues so need some laojiaos advice here. Thanks in advance and hope to hear from someone soon!

Thanks for the advice!

If i downsize rear to 40, will there be any significant difference in the top speed?

My objective is just to cruise smoothly at 80kmph @ 6-7rpm as it seems pretty scary to have the engine roaring loudly at just 80kmph at my current set up

Yes, there will be difference in the top speed, and your pick up.

Smaller Size = lower pick up, higher top speed.

As per mentioned, best cruise would be @ 36 Teeth.

I got a question to you peeps.

Where you guys place your Insurance or roadtax or season parking?

Got no storage solution in the P180 itself.

Road hogger @ 50km/h on 4th lane

A bike can go up till 200km/h, can the rider go up till 200km/h o_O

Many thanks for the recommendation of the site. Super useful. Playing around with sproc size & tyres heights. Especially when trying to make a 600-800cc bike adjust the useble Rpm. Example for XJ6 to have top speed of 185 & useable rpm range I found 16/48. As for FZ8, to have top speed of 205 & useable rpm range I found 16/52. Excellent site recommendation. !!

Hello guys, I am looking at 2nd-hand bikes (below 200cc) and have below enquiry.

For servicing of Bajaj Pulsar bikes, is it compulsory to go back to UM ?

(eg. normal oil change, spark plug, etc).

Do you, Pulsar owners, always go back UM for servicing ?

How is the waiting time there ?

Cheers.

Hi, I always head back to UM since owning my Pulsar from Feb 2011. Waiting time is generally pretty damn long unless you head during weekdays off-peak hours. Prepare to wait like crazy on Saturdays. I usually drop my bike there and head elsewhere before coming back for it later.

Hello and thanks for the reply!

Which model are you riding? Did you got it brand new? Any major issues with any hardware parts?

Thanks and regards!
