hmm i dont agree with this at all leh hao..in the first place, if the best braking stuff was no use, stuff like brembo wouldnt exist. secondly, if such a dangerous situation arrives trust me, having a set of brakes which u can trust to do the job will make a major difference. if u got try accident before u would noe that having darn good brakes that can bring the bike to slow down very quickly could make a difference between life and death for atleast u noe ur brakes are powerful and u can control the situation trusting ur machine.

 

when u cant trust ur brakes, u end up jamming ur brakes in that sort of situation and u skid. I know coz i have been there before..so yah cannot say give good brakes also no use..sometimes following distances and stuff is not what u can choose. to a certain extent yes but if u follow to closely to what u were taught u will be forced by other road users to go by their rules..i think instead of doing modifications and paintjobs is secondary to investing in a good set of tyres and brakes. one is only as strong as his weakest link. in my bike i believe my braking system to be my weakest link. so no amount of power is any use without adequate stopping power.

 

so yah hope i made my point and no offence..just my 99cents worth..

lolx.. relax lah... irregardless having a good breaking system.. it's the rider who will know the machine well. 2 examples..

 

1) Good breaking system with hel hose, brembo clip , one branded braking pad

Rider doesn't know machine well enough, brake too much "over flip" and etc etc...

 

2) Normal breaking system with normal hose, normal breaks, normal pad

Rider know breaking system how far and know if cannot brake in time will surve out and back in..

 

It's the riders that matters..

 

Even if you know you can brake in time, will you risk your life to go near to a car that MIGHT jammed brake? most of the time we are in-between cars.. we onli jammed when car change lane w/o signaling.. correct? So relax bros.. no wrong no right.. just ride safe...

haha no la i just meant that brakes are actually pretty impt and shouldnt be taken lightly..and i usually try not to split lanes..if u have been with me on expressway u wld noe..haha...i am not racer like inuki they all..i prefer take my time and u shld too..haha..

haha. but ride slowly also not really safe, if the car infront want to do stunt you also ll.

 

these few days kana a few. almost kissed the car bumper or need to swerve away. start to make me worry about my bike's braking capabilities.

 

gotta get used to ur brakes if ur not, and adjust to it unless u can get it changed..when u get used to it, u can then gauge when to start braking etc..also watch out for vehicles swerving into ur lane etc..just pray for our own safety uh..

 

to the guys that went jb just now. sorry once again to disappoint uh. really wanted to follow but cannot find replacement for work uh. miss you guys man. oh well. ride safe pilots =)
