I don't think petrol itself wont cost as much as 180 if u go only sch, home and work. Provided your bike fc is not super chui.

It depends on each individual I think. For me, I feel it is ok. This is my first bike so I do not feel otherwise since I have not owned a "hassle-free" bike like a wave b4. I guess it also depends on what condition you got the bike in and how you gonna care for it or abuse it.

 

 

I guess overhaul is when they open up your whole bike and replace the worn and spoiled parts. I have never done this b4 so I dunno much about it. Maintenance is what we do regularly to the bike to keep it in good running condition. Basic maintenace/servicing could be changing spark plug, engine oil, top-up coolant, clean/lube chain. Washing and waxing bike as part of maintenace is optional of course lol. Actually everything is optional until it spoils.

For part time... i get roughly 440-500 range for part time a month.

So...i'm actually quite sure i really like and want a Kr. But..imagine or lets say i got monthly installment ard 100-140 range... left with 300..petrol maybe...180(Ride 6days a week..mainly school and bck home..workplace super near home.)?

Den left with 120 every month...

In the long run will maintenance really be very ex..?

Cos i actually dont wanna like work so hard and slog for bike...=no enjoyment.

Sorry ps...care to explain diff between overhaul and maintenance?

 

I read some threads ppl mentioned maybe getting a spark and rxz would b cheaper..but i dont really like e idea of spark cos no tank..and mainly both not sportsbike.

Need some advice once again.. lol..sorry bros out there!

i work at yung ho rd,stay woodlands

2 way traffic=47-50km

i whack almost every morning at KJE cos i wake up late(so more petrol)

every 4-5 days i top up petrol.

2T also not much $!

IMPORTANCE**if u buy a gd condition bike n u take care the bike

not much $ spend on the maintenance.**

may b 1 year full service 1 time(got $ 1 month 1 time also can),decarbon pipe+ (this depend)wash carb...plus++++

you no need to buy brand new of course, can always buy 2nd hand but by the time you finish your car loan ( if you are so rich to no need loan, i got nothing to say )...in 3~5 years whatever, you need to renew COE. so back to square root of 1.

 

Renew COE price is the average of past 3 months new COE prices...so $ around there, should not be too different unless very swinging market.

 

of course you can avoid that by changing car, sell your old car ( with value greatly depreciated ) & buy another old car & take loan all over again ( any money from your previous car can only offset the down-payment ) so effectively you are GETTING INTO DEBT ALL OVER AGAIN.

 

my idea is buy car only when your TOTAL Costs of ownership ( everything = installment, tax, insurance, petrol, parking, service etc ) is only 20% of your "disposable" ( cash at hand ) income, remember that is also "housing" costs ( experts say less than 1/3, i say 1/4 ). i figure unless your pay is above $5k or your company subsidize ( if you have a sales jobs )...forget it.

 

buy a class 2 only when you can afford car. Class 2 is expensive but still cheaper than car. So if you are rich enough to buy car but chose to buy class 2 instead, you still save some $$.

 

buy a 2a only when you can afford class 2...buy a 2b only when you can afford 2a. buy old & 2nd hand whenever possible unless you are so financially comfortable to afford a bigger class bike. eg. if you can afford a brand new 2a, then go buy brand new 2b. when you can afford brand new 2b, buy a cheap 2b. can buy cheap 2b, go buy 2nd hand instead...still cannot afford...go the kup chai route or even bicycle ( if you are young & fit buy a fast bicycle, if you are old & fat, buy a slower bicycle )

 

ADD: that is why now Mercs / BMW are the top seller in sg, no more Jap brands, it is the luxury European cars...

but if got , also 6bucks job...even more tiring...and further more working hours..working days...nt so flexible bro.

I think pizza hut is really quite slack for me..prev working at ion f&b as cashier for 6 bucks...but slowly...from cashier ask u do tons of work till physically and mentally wanna die T_T.

See how ah... might consider changing job....but at e moment i doubt so...anyway it's part time ah..

i think it is better for you to "control" your "desire" ( for KR, not sex ) a bit...

 

actually you got company wave to ride not bad already , last time i bicycle to school & work.

 

wait until you got more money then buy...buy at least need $ 1~2k standby...some more i think you need to standby something like at least $1k for 1 year of maintain / repairs / service etc etc

 

in addition, i assume you are young rider where insurance sure very expensive one...

Haha not fallen in love...is fallen deeply in love ! .And i juz realized being a KR pillion cn be quite a lil sian maybe?lol cos only when stop at junction cn talk..haha my friend tompang me home in his KR after our work end juz now.. all e way.. " wairrrrrrr......wairrrrr....wairrrr...." LOL. And v loud for e pillion behind haha.Anyway today went bukit merah lane 1 there deliver pizza den ride around...bio bike.. saw like 5-8 SP's....LOL. Only 1 KR..sad T_T But not all shops open though..i went the HKL and albert see..like just stop at side n see..lol..

Er bro.. i studying. I plan to down 1k or 1k+

,.....den add e insurance + machine price together n installment.I know when fully paid more shiok..but no choice..nwadays KR insurance rise till so high..while sp cheapp....a frd's friend got sp ...1100 only for insurance.But i still like KR

Go to the lane of shops which is nearest to the Bukit Merah Lane exit. Got more krrs there.
