Sry for the sad news man. As u just experienced it, maybe can provide me(nub) any tips on how to prevent this? How often must I add coolant on a daily basis or weekly?

Sorry man all along I rely on the temp meter, it's usually at low temp, when the needle starts to rise a little I will add water first before buying coolant, but this time temp meter failed gg.

Bad job meaning your bike broke down again? Local meaning chiong one? If I buy 2nd hand original one from ppl would it be better ?

local means chiong. 2nd hand original from others have to see how bad it is. if not u can resleeve your block.i would recommend only block to be second hand la. the others all i would say better change original new ones.

coolant is not top up daily or weekly by right u can use the same coolant for a year to 2. i used to change coolant yearly cause i service yearly.

top up is as necessary. sometime bike overheat because of jam or something the coolant flow out then u top up if coolant level in reservoir low. if not dont disturb.

Resleeving is taking the sleeve out of the block whic is the layer containing the scratches. I saw a block selling for 120. Seemed gd in the pic. Just look for scratch vertically on te block inner layer

1) Confirm it's the pipe not the chain around (if it's infront the chain there, 2T pump leaking)

2) check for broken hose

3) check for broken container

4) is your bike under the sun most of the time? if yes, heat expand, your container might have "burst" den broken liaoz..

 

 

er can cfm is coming out from the a black pipe that runs all the way to the top near my petrol tank. goes up den duno go where le.. broken hose n container- i checked the 2t tank whether it is leaking but its not.. i left it in a multi storey carpark, exposed to the sun maybe only 12-4pm or even not at all.

if i nv rmb wrongly. the pipe runs all the way up to the petrol tank..last time mech remove tank. theres 2 pipe connecting to the tank. but the oil that drips out feels and looks more like 2t.

@Cerius not break down la, so parts like gear nv put properly, oil seal , bearings all those. alot white smoke and loss in power. piston, ring, conrod all those use original la, not v exp. only block exp around $300+... can use local or 2nd hand lo. yah local means choing one...

hi all....wanna ask estimated cost of repair about my krr150....cutting the story short this morning my bike broke down and the engine is now a goner, due to a faulty temp meter, I didnt realise the engine is overheating due to coolant running out. thus engine block, piston, gasket etc all GG liao....the bike shop that open on sunday today told me repair and replacement will be 1k+, exact i not sure i no mood to ask him at that point of time lol. I wanna ask fellow bros out here who did replacement of the engine parts, how much did you get it for (if you can remember for price of each part, then best) and for those who frequent JB, would it be significantly cheaper to do over at JB?

 

actually if you wanna save your bike for now u can change the piston and block your bike should run ready. after that you can decide whether to overhaul or not depending on how your engine sounds and feels.

hmmm.. have to check with bike shop.. but I suspect 2T pump leaking.. just ensure your 2T has sufficient will do.. & just go and repair it..

BUT.. dun renew until 1 week before our COE expire.. else if u renew this weekend, your NEW COE will start from 1st Feb.. they will makan whatever days you left..

 

I'm very stingy one.. COE is bai bai give one.. so one day also dun let them makan.. heehee..

 

Oh ya... insurance and inspection can go first.. Road Tax can only buy after you gotten your COE..
