Any1 selling off fullset fairing please let me know. Looking for fullset side fairing, head fairing, tail and tank. Must be same color or design. Whatsapp or sms me at 97990977. Thanks

hey bro, i got full set. Metallic blue in colour. Original coverset but not standard colour. Sprayed on last march 2012. cond 8/10. right side scratches the rest all very nice. add me up on fb @Wan iwan for pics. but whats ur budget bro?

hey guys, question. rmbr in my earlier post i mentioned my bike only starts up if my choke if open and as long as i turn off my choke before the bike is heated up my engine shuts off again?

so today i tried what @ahzaisai suggested, i started my bike w the choke on and immediately after the bike started i throttled abit and off my choke. The second i off my choke, my engine died again. Meaning, again... whenever i start my bike, i always needa open the choke for the first ~2min while heating up my bike.

1. is this normal? (aka old bike minor problem?)

2. if i ALWAYS open my choke when starting my bike, will it cause my bike problems in the near future?

try changing your spark plug or increase your timing /idling.

You can do 2 things to help the situation if u like me want to 1 or 2 kick start n go

For starting you can try adjusting your air screw. Turn the screw in about a quater to half n see if it helps. . If it doesn't make any diff, then u can try putting a next bigger pilot jet. Your spark plug won't foul so easily as your jet setting n 2t setting both play a part in it. U can have perfect setting n still foul plug cause oil setting wrong. If you want swee setting MSG me n I'll tell u how to go about doing it

wow so chim! i'm very new to my bike, and bikes for that matter so what you just said made me go @_@ LOL! but my bike starts with a max 2 kicks though (so long as my choke is open)?

but for general knowledge sake, id love to know where's the air screw and what's a pilot jet (of course if there's a link explaining these things which saves you the trouble--would be best)..

haha.. best not to know too much.. else you will keep mod until you found the perfect one but lost FC instead.. after knowing so much, i change everything back to stock now.. whahahha.. to get the best FC. :p

LOL.. ok.. for the beginning..

Learn this..

http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/68265-How-to-do-carb-tuning

after you understand 75% and above den ok.. :p

Just a heads up.. pilot jet is what we called as air jet, it's a jet that control our jet intake.. stock is 22.5.. most of the jets has been mod EITHER small for better FC or bigger for better pick up.. not recommended to change smaller as your plug will be foul more often.. bigger risk of piston jam.. so you have to play around until you found the best jets depending on your weight, pillion, box and etc... :)

Bro pilot jet and air jet and pilot air screw, three also different thing.

Pilot jet or idle jet controls amount of fuel for the idling circuit of carb.

Air jet controls the amount of air for the idling circuit of carb.

Pilot air screw also controls the amount of air like an air jet but like more precise.

Imagine a water tap. the size of the hole of the tap is the air jet and the knob on the tap is the pilot air screw. Also only some carbs have air jets.

Pilot jet -

Increase size = less chance piston jam, higher chance plug fouling, FC slightly more.

Decrease size = higher risk piston jam, lesser chance of plug fouling, FC slight lesser.

air jet -

Increase size = higher risk piston jam, lesser chance of plug fouling.

Decrease size = less chance piston jam, higher chance plug fouling.

FC will more or less be the same cause the amount of fuel is the same when changing only air jet.

The differences will be more in terms of power and response.

Best setting that i would recommend for the best street use will be to adjust your oil pump first. then go get your jettings check. revertg everything to stock. then try. usually alot of problems or weird feelings would be eliminated. from there fine tune to your spec.

for example my bike i whack alot. almost everything is stock jetting except for only pilot jet.

2 reasons why i increase pilot jet

1. easier to start on cold. 1 or 2 kicks with no choke,

Results depend on bike configuration, does not apply to all bikes.

2. A little extra fuel so that when i wide open throttle my bike don't piston jam.

How this works??? The main jet works from above 3/4 throttle only but the pilot jet affects the entire throttle while the primary area being the idling. Why because your pilot jet does not get shut off after you throttle. fuel still goes thru it no matter how much you open throttle.

but one downside is your pickup might feel a little slow cause the pilot richer ma. so its a trade off.

o_O!! Based on what I learn from bike shops and several bike part shops.

Pilot Jet = Air Jet

Main Jet = Fuel Jet..

Anyway, it's ok.. no diff.. :p

Since it's just difference terms for the jets.. haha..

& Yup.. your explanation is correct through... :)

hmmm.. drak3st3r.. don't mind I ask.. how much is your FC huh? Sometimes increases your main jet FC wun go up because you use less strength to pick up.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

yeah i have heard that from bike shops and all too. that y i and bike shops mostly have arguments. haahahahha

i will always check with the bike manual and carb manuals for the exact term one cause later misinterpret, the effects can be disastrous.

my highest i got was 31km per liter. average speed around 110. every stock. air box no filter then sprocket 15 38. pipe kosong. nothing else. carb setting stock.

increasing your main jet wont affect your FC if you dont open throttle fully. if your normal riding time, u dont open your throttle more then 3/4, then your MJ big your FC slightly more,if small slightly less. But one thing to take note is when MJ is small it restricts the amount of fuel that can go inside the needle jet. needle jet and jet needle affects mostly from about 1/4 to about 3/4 throttle. which is where u spend most of the time while cruising. so lesser fuel during that time means a little bit better FC. but you increase the chance of piston jam if you go very long distance on hot days or on cold days or suddenly whack. if your mj slightly big then you raining day go long distance also your piston no problem one but hot day like a bit heavy but no problem one.

btw i just want to highlight that got FC and FE,

FC is fuel consumption and FE is Fuel Economy.

FC is how much petrol used for one kilometer and FE is how many km can be ridden for one liter. there is a big diff and confusing one too.

higher FC means more petrol used for the same distance (exp 2l for 1km) low FC is less petrol for the same distance (exp. 0.5l for 1km)

higher FE means more distance for the same amount of petrol (exp. 30km per 1l) low FE means lesser distance for the same amount of petrol(exp. 20km per 1l)

When we are talking about saving fuel, we are looking at a lower FC or higher FE.

LOL.. so many information.. Meet up soon to discuss man.. btw, 31km/L.. that's really good.. The best I gotten is 29km/l.. but of cuz.. I'm big size.. with box plus pillion daily la.. Remove my box before.. there's a jump in FC.. haha...
