U mean srew tat attach at the block or just change rhe nut

not just the nut.. the entire long thingy.. the screw itself.. (sound wrong thru) lolx..

Look for hardware shop or trusted bike shop.. tell them you need a screw strongly enough to hold around 5~10kg..

Hi, im a newbie 18yo p-plate, just got my license, still deciding which bike to get.. so just wanna know more of KRR150.

Mainly the insurance, because in previous years insurance is depend mainly on what bike you are riding, and i read around that KRR150 18yo p-plate is like 1k+. But recently when i went to bike shops to ask around, the uncle told me that the insurance conditions changed and is depend on the age and experience, and that even a cub kia for 18yo p-plate is 1k+.

So just wanna know if its worth getting KRR150 since the insurance is the same for all types of bikes now.

Also fuel consumption and maintanance cost, like how frequently and about how much each time.

The uncle recommended me RXZ, which im fine with but just wanna weigh more options before deciding, among these 2 which one u all will recommend for a newbie which has probably 0 knowledge on bikes now? And is 2nd hand KRR150 easy to find(from shop)? cause i didnt really spot any when i was down at the shops.. Also, I think im probably gonna upgrade to 2A when i can, this time next year.

Please advice me on this.. Newbie dont really know anything about bikes.. Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks :)

Bro.. Before my advises to you, main questions for yourself...

1) What kind of bikes you are looking at? (sporty look? Or just purely for transport?)

2) Is your main concern about $$$? (if yes, den sporty look is out ler...)

3) Are you definitely going to upgrade? (If yes, that means $$$ is not a concern, go for a 2 stroke and you wun regret../If no, buy a 2 stroke and stick with that, u also wun regret..) :p

My advises to you..

1) 2 Stroke bike can definitely break away from "disturbing" vehicles easily..

2) 4 stroke is definitely more saving in terms of fuel but their wear and tear also a lot..

Simply put across..

If you looking for transport bike - go for 4 strokes..

If you looking for a "multi-usage" bike den can go for KRR or any 2 strokes that you preferred.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Please proceed to this website/web link if you guys have any technical issues on Kawasaki Kips/KR150, I'll update the 1st POST as and when there's a new question. Newbies questions on the top as well. :)

Thx for your suggestion :) Looks like im gonna get a 2 stroke bike cause 4 stroke too ex for me.. 2 stroke machine + insurance

I kinda wanna get a bike thats quite in between.. ok looks with average fuel consumption (around 25km/l) thats why looking at KRR, cause heard that it has the best fuel consumption among the sports bikes.

For $, so far machine price and insurance is ok for me. Working now during holidays, gonna find PT job when school reopen also, so bike expense shouldnt be a problem as well, but of course like everyone, i dont want a bike that is costly to maintain. So checking if KRR is costly to maintain and how frequently?

And what about insurance? Heard its the most ex for 18 yo p-plate last time, but what about now? If the insurance for 18yo p-plate now is 1k+ for all bikes, might as well get one that i like. Sorry if im asking the same thing again, insurance i anything also dont know.

Oh and im surely gonna go 2A, but not sure when, if my 2B bike good condition, probably after 2 or 3 years.

Thx again :)

LOL.. I didn't really hear that 4 stroke more expensive thru..

Anyway, KRR can get around 25km/h.. maintain your bike well and ensure all parts are original..

insurance not really known to me.. I'm a uncle riding KR thus my insurance is kinda of low at 3xx but i heard someone got it at 1xx~2xx.. LOL!

maintenance depends on individual.. I spend alot on it cuz I always believe in, "don't wait for it to happen"..

Personally, I change EO/Spark plug monthly to ensure bike can start within 2 kicks + protect your gears.. (they are expensive!)

decarbon yearly to get pick up/top end performances.

wash carb/change coolant every 6~12 months (depends on $$$ availability)

full service which include change piston and ring every 1.2~2 years.. (ensure piston is in good condition..)

Alot more bah.. But again.. these are personal preferences.. I heard someone change EO/spark plug every 3 months and some 6 months.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Hi, got a question on insurance.

How to get quote for bike insurance? I call ntuc recently, but they told me i must have the registration no of the bike then can get a quote, or at least registration date i think.

Like that means i must buy the bike then can know insurance how much? -_-

Or can i just get take a random bike's registration number (with the model in mind) and ask for quote? Like example my house below got 1 KRR, can i take the registration no and ask for a quote? Is it illegal?

Insurance is a really big factor for 18yo p-plate, so i wanna know the insurance rate before deciding on a bike.

Thx :)

Hi donutboy I was in e same stage as u too prev one year plus back

To my knowledge when i was 18..(1 year + back) MSIG insurance for Third party ... its 1300. Ntuc third party 1500. Third party is e least coverage for insurance.. got 1st party and 2nd party that covers fire ,theft and more ****. Basically cover ur backside till a certain extent only compared to 1st and 2nd.

I got a feeling the premium for 18yo wont drop much..or might even increase.. u cn go shops to survey..for kr..18yo how much for insurance..third party.. den they'll tell you roughly from a guide they have.

My personal advice.. get sp if u want cheaper insurance SP only $1100 ah if i'm nt wrong (fro wad i checked on prev) . If u planning to upgrade, best go get rxz or smtg else ...easy to maintain... insurance slightly cheaper. Kr insurance v ex for 18yo + p-plate. Now second year alr... my insurance still 1k+. Hope this helps

Hi. Can anyone advise whether is it legal to replace the speedometer with a digital koso meter?

So far I heard it's alright.. Because it's "cosmetic".. *car change their speedo and it's ok also.. :)

But again.. all these are in the "grey" zone.. But FYI, digital speedo cannot tahan heat.. the "screen" will be spoilt over time.. :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Hey all im once again in need of your help!

I crashed my bike a few days ago, nothing serious but the road had been taken up and there was a line of sand i did not see ryt on the corner, came off the bike and landed on my left side at about 20kph, bikes ok besides 1 problem :

The Left front indicator does not come on at all, the left rear indicator comes on but does not flash.. the right side still works perfectly, everything else is fine besides some really ugly scratches, i checked with a spare indicator on the front left and still no light, the rear also still did not flash even with a new front indicator... im at a loss, everything looks and sounds good, indicator blinker box still clicks and the right side works, If any1 can help me id really appreciate it!

Lets hope my government doesnt forget about bikers again before some1 really gets hurt... Going to cost me ALOT to get my bike resprayed and fixed..

check your fuse. maybe due to the impact, some part on the fuse are not properly connected.

Hi Bro.. hi possibilities that your wire for the front signal light has snap.. check the wires, replace the bulbs and try again or alternatively checked what sharkboy has mentioned... :)
