sounds good.. mind quoting the price of carb, block, clutch bowl, entire wiring system, magnetic coil, rear rim and rear suspension. (all brand new)

Hi guys can I ask you all a question? I don't know if it's just my KR or all KRs cause I've never ridden another KR before. When I just got my KR, it was in a quite lousy condition, apparently my valves jammed and I didn't realise it because I was still a new rider, so after awhile, I went to service my valves and I had to do a top overhaul. So now, when I'm at about 5k rpm at any gear, there will be this very low & weird sound (like clock-clock-clock) and my rpm won't go to 6 onwards unless I downshift (more obvious at higher gears). I asked my mechanic about this and he said it's because it's a two-stroke, but that day, I rode my friend's SP and I realised that it didn't have this problem at all. So is it only me or does all KRs have this? It's like the power delivery is not smooth or something. At gear 1, it is not that obvious, but you can feel the "hesitation" of the power still at 5k rpm, then at gear 2 onwards it's damn obvious, so I must always drag gear 1 till like 8k rpm so that when I up gear, I won't encounter this problem. Anyone knows what is happening? It's been going on for like 4 months already, at first I was quite okay with it, but now it's kind of getting on my nerves.

Ur valvE need to service clear all the carbon and if can polish it... My suggest DIY removed coolant the valve is very easy to be removed

answered you in another page but for the benefits of the rest...

 

This is valve jam.. the first part of valve open at RPM 5.5-6, the more obvious 2nd part is RPM 7.5 and last part is RPM 11.5.

 

& you mentioned also, just top overhaul.. go back to the shop and ask what happen.. this should never happen.. are you in the shop when they are doing top overhaul for your bike? (see what's being done to your bike to have a sense of security)... :)

I think change piston or something like that if I'm not wrong. Valve jam? But I have no issues going all the way till red line. Previously, before I went to service my bike, I couldn't go more than rpm 6k on any gears. Now after I went to service the valves and change piston, I can go up till red line, just that whenever I'm at higher gears (the higher the worse) I have issues going above 6k rpm unless I downshift like 1/2 gears, if not there will be a sound (I think it's coming from the engine) and the bike will be quite jerky with like no power like that.

This is just my "thoughts".. need to check it before you ask that person to overhaul.. is the sound very high pitch? and only in that 1 or 2 gear? if only in that 1-2 gear den yes, gears damaged.

I got this problem before. Actually its only the valve opener. The one covered with rubber triangular shape. It is found close to the radiator. Open the rubber thingy, you can see this like so called gear like. This the valve which you cannot go beyound 6k. Just spray with some chain lubricant and play around with the nut. Go up and dow. Until the gears are smooth. If okay alrd. Try start your bike and see the sound of your exshaust got different. If it loud and not mono sound like. The okay liao the bike

It rusts all the time, see rust already must sand it and spray with High temp black spray hor!

What 2t u guys use so far. I tried castrol and esso alot smoke. Never tried others

 

Motul.. Least smoke but valve jam easily if you dun wack...
