Hello, newbie here. Got 2 questions I wanna ask...

Is it normal for KR's fuel gauge to be inaccurate? Mine shows close to empty after using up about 5L..

And is it normal for the chain to hit the bike when I change gear? Especially around 1st to 2nd gear..?

Long Live the Dream.

Yes to first question. No to the second question. Go tighten your chain perhaps.

To rephrase under my words.. :p

Yes to KR fuel gauge to be inaccurate.. I even asked brand new or what could be done.. but all is inaccurate unless you change to "digital speedo meter" then you can see the correct indication.. :)

It's definitely not normal.. just tighten or change the chain to better chains.. (O ring) :)

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Please proceed to this website/web link if you guys have any technical issues on Kawasaki Kips/KR150, I'll update the 1st POST as and when there's a new question. Newbies questions on the top as well. :)

Hi krr riders, i would like you guys to help me out.

machine price for kr is 4k , coe will end ard 2020 or 2021

plus my insurance is below 1k as my 2b just passed last month and im 21yo.

is it worth buying krr worth 4k? right now im serving ns, so pretty tight on budget wise.

the guys quote me if i down full on my insurance n take loan for the bike monthly is 190?

so now what im planning to do is to save up to 2k then down insurance 1k n 1k for the bike, which means i pay lesser for monthly installment.

if you guys in my place, what will you guys do?

Buy from bike shop or online? Ask someone experience to accompany you. You wouldnt want to buy a 4k bike which will have problems in the future.

to my opinion. paying the bike one shot is much better. 2 years,190 and since ur money are tight, and loaning is such and headache. and let say the bike also fall sick t that moment. more hedache. in conclusion, if possible avoid loaning. got money, pay the whole thing. if not enough money, save till enough. @nashkhan

Options

1) Grab it! Since 190 monthly nia.. (but remember there's road tax on a yearly basis, inspection)

2) Save till enough den buy from owner directly and installment from NTUC

Personally.. I'll prefer option 2.. Most owners tend to take care of their bikes (not all) and you will not be afraid of any other cost involved.. the bike is yours and good to run.. :)

But again 4k is abit high.. like what haoKR mentioned below, buy some COE that's expiring in 1-2 years den you renew yourself.. 10 years = 1.8k nia.. :)

1.8k/12 = save 150/month = 10 years of usage!

Guy nw i using semi synthetic engine oil n i always change when i hit 2000 km..so if i use fully synthetic hw many km den i need change???

Depends lor.. some people say 5k.. some say 7k.. I prefer to play safe.. 2-3k.. :)

I dun wan to overhaul again.. :'(

Trust me bro for 2 stroke engine oil doesnt really matter. I used to use mineral oil for my kr and I changed it whenever I feel like or when the transmission not not smooth the longest I have run without changing is 10k. Even spark which is 4 steoke u change every 4000km also good enough.IMO semi more than enough u cjange between 5000 to 10000 click depending on how much u whack. If alot of high speed then 5k if not 10k. I bet nothing will happen to your tranny also I recommend motul geal oil for 2 stroke. Very good and cheap 20 bucks only works like a charm

I see some of the KRR bikes in the forums all very cool and well painted sia. may i know if its the rider himself who came up with the design of the paintwork? or the workshop actually got some catalogs for us to choose from? my creativity quite chui so i looking at some standard catalogs that i can choose
