in event of bike kena burnt or stolen

will be covered

 

these events not covered under 3rd party

 

as for self-buang, u require 1st party insurance and its damn costly

IMO not worth it...

somemore if u claim = lose NCD

Don't say 1st party not worth it. If you "total" a $30000 bike in a crash, you will love the idea of a 1st party (aka Comprehensive) insurance.

 

 

"Total" is a slang meaning you crash the vehicle beyond the state the affordable repairs.

i bought my FX plate + free insurance for 9 months for 2.7k

Hard to say leh. But I never hear before motorshop allow 500 downpayment. Should be around the 1k range. But hor, you now NS is stay in or office hours? If stay in, I think save up the money for a bigger bike, arbo you stay inside never ride, still gotta pay installment and insurance with the worries of whether your bike will kena sabo or not.

My first question to you is, are you staying in camp? Or u r the 8am - 5pm ?

If u'r staying in camp and only can use your bike for weekends and die die must have a transport on weekend, i suggest you get a cheaper bike. Otherwise, you will just be parking your park at the carpark from monday to friday and then having to pay for installments EVERY MONTH. Which doesn't makes sense.

IMO, if your pocket doesn't allow, don't buy a KRR, instead, look for something else you can afford. As you've mentioned, your take home pay is at most $600.

Presuming that your bike's installment is $150 a month.

You have only $450 left. You need to pay for your expenses like petrol, bike maintence(this includes money for emergency like yr bike breaking down).

You would also need money for entertainment like going to movies, going out for a meal with friends and etc.

In the end, there will be SO little or no money left to spend.

 

If you'r really bend on getting one, $500 for a downpayment maybe not be enough. You will need enough to cover AT LEAST the insurance for the bike. Perharps you could check with NTUC or your motorshop.

KRR slow? Goodness.... you should have seen race preped ones! The true blue jackpot ones are even scarier (Bcos they have no limit to mods done to it!). The scariest part to jackpot bikes... no rear brakes!!!
