what internet browser you using?

want to find out what browser are you using..

 

damn realised there's 2 maxthon..

pls vote the 5th button (maxthon), above others, as opera browser..

i started off with ie, realised its very slow..

 

switched to myie or now called maxthon.. but it gave me some problems which i cannot really recall already.. by far the most enjoyable i used..

 

then i switched to firefox.. problem was i cannot watch video clips and it doesnt save the tabs of website i browsed after i close and reopen.. sometimes cannot go certain websites.. it just hangs there.. eg sbf.

 

after which, changed to google chrome, but it doesnt support java plugin and doesnt allow me to watch videos also.. certain website it just hangs there also..

 

end up, now i use 3.. if i need to access websites with java or watch videos, i use ie.. inter changing between firefox and google chrome whichever browser that doesnt hang for the website i go to..

Not bad, it's the first browser to make IE fully featured, and "tabbed" also.

You will need to download a firefox plugin that lets you "undo" a tab closure. There is one, but I forgot the name.

I'm using Chrome now.

It does actually support Java. On Vista, ensure that you have your User Account Control switched on and that you've clicked OK when it prompts you.

I stick to Chrome.

However, if a website uses a very interactive interface (aka AJAX) like Facebook, then I would have to use IE or Maxthon.

 

P.S.: I develop websites and always tests them in different browsers. That's where I get my information from.

i am running on xp.. now i am back to using maxthon.. so far so good..

its my personal fave, have installed IE... oops forgot, it comes pre-installed, but it's all messed up and every time i start it up, it just hangs or self terminated the prog (my OS is Vista :'( )

 

tried Chrome, didn't really take to it, mebe just didn't try it out enough

 

Opera i found was a little slow a couple of years back

 

have been using Firefox for the last few years and even got my work IT system admins to allow me admin on my lappy so i could install that instead... and i load it up with all the possible add-ons like flash video capture to *.flv format, the pop up blockers and on the side i run AVG, Spywareblaster, Spybot so have a pretty good run on the opensource free ware

 

going off topic a little. only prob is that as my comp (free with maxonline package, runs Vista and only has 1gb ram, it's pretty retarded... lolz)

for general use *with some patience* is still ok lah, i don't do very many RAM intensive stuff on it other than surf the net... watch movies... some work docs so still bearable. not too sure even if i wanna waste a frw $10's to upgrade RAM or just use till it die so have reason to get another PC for home... haha

 

my lil bro got a spare tower he customised for gaming that he dun wan, so was thinking of running it totally on open source software. i.e. linux + firefox + open office + anything else to get it running like a normal PC short of anything to do with MicroSoft on it (other than MSN i guess)

 

back to the topic... i reali hate IE... it's started to develop the "Internet Explorer has shut down" thing and cannot be uninstalled as it's an "integral" part of Vista... damn Gates!
