Hi Lads,

 

First and foremost, let me wish you a Happy New Year.

I would like to know if anyone in here keeps up to date

regarding the OTR Price of a Brand New DRZ400SM.

Also, how much is the interest/annum? Its still going to be

awhile before I can even come close to making that purchase.

But I like planning ahead. I hope someone will be able to clear

my doubts. Also, since it is brand new, what will insurance be

like for me, 19yrs of age with 1 year's riding experience.

I heard that new bikes require full comprehensive coverage.

I need to plan out my financing before I can come down to a decision.

DRZ normally OTR at $13k +-, depending on COE..

Interest per year at abt 4% for new bikes..

 

during those events may get lower interest or some freebies like exhaust, sliders, etc to go along..

 

Insurance + Fire & Theft for 19yr old should be abt $1k..

interest rate 5% per yr.

bought from asphoon serangoon.

gd shop, everything black n white wif no hidden cost or agreement fee or early settlement fee.

other shops might quote u cheaper but must see the term n conditions first.

i mean for normal riding lah..

high bend to stressful for my wirst if i ride long distance..

not because of the night's ride out..

 

if you guys are knowledge on the offset and the bend stuff which i presume only a lot of guys know it here(Raptor included). otherwise the MO will have more questions than the number of ppl ordering the bar, the MO i presume is for Easton EXP with clamp kit, so that i can donate my ProTaper Highbar to my friend's BMX.

if you guys are knowledge on the offset and the bend stuff which i presume only a lot of guys know it here(Raptor included). otherwise the MO will have more questions than the number of ppl ordering the bar, the MO i presume is for Easton EXP with clamp kit, so that i can donate my ProTaper Highbar to my friend's BMX.

 

On the topic of the Easton EXP handlebars... just to make sure you got the right stuff....

 

The clamp kit is EXP TC 45 Clamps. They have 2 types, 5mm off set and zero offset. (Retailing at USD$44.99)

 

You will need to include the EXP TH 75 11.9 hardware (the 2 clamp mounting bolts). You will also need to widen the holes of the rubber killers washer so that the mounting bolts can go through... they are slightly larger in diameter. Just use a round file can liao. (Retailing at USD$9.99)

 

And the handlebar.. the one I am using is an equivalent to a CR High. EXP M 94 56. Height: 94.3mm Pull back: 56.1mm Tip: 7.8 degrees Sweep: 14.5mm and End Length: 200mm. (Retailing at USD$99.99).

 

They have a few different bends.

 

Which bend to choose depends on your arms length. Most people use the CR High coz of the standing up required when jumping in the dirt... unless your arms length like that of an orang utan than go with a low bend while jumping.

 

Those who don't go off road normally will take the lower bends.

I only know the various bends as i had used the different bend for my ex bike.. sweep, pull back, offset, etc i dunno..

 

doing MO not easy, doing MO for handlebar even worse!!!

the different sweep, bend, etc can kill..

 

I believe just take the standard sweep, etc.. order by the different bend..

Bros, care to share what brand of air filter you guys use on your DRZ. Thought of getting my DRZ KnN air filter. But was confuse coz went to a bike shop today and they selling at 180 and find out that HKL selling at 90 dollars. Is there any difference? And pls share which brand is better in performance, price and where to shop. Thank guys..

The retail price of a K&N filter for the DRZ in the USA is about USD$50 ie S$80 at today's exchange rates.

 

$180 can buy two.

$180!!! the knife very sharp.. else they lifetime wash your filter for free???

BMC are much more ex.. higher flow also..

tried BMC on my S4 before, response a bit better.. maybe placebo??

 

you can up your MJ to 160 loh...

maybe Meng Tong see yout filter OEM so put 155 jet..
