Hi Guys,

How's life- I'm quite busy lately...:-(

Reasonly I replaced the 8 clutch plates at HKL about $8/- each workmanship about $45. Change of oil, oil filters. now I feel like riding a new bike he,hehe...ya need to wash my bike- too long haven't wash...

About the Iridium spark plugs you guys talking- I've been using it very long time from(St11) I've used both Denso to NGK iridium plugs no problemm! maybe one of those things..."murphy laws" stuff...

It always good after sometime to remove the plugs and wire brush them eventhough you are using normal plugs...check for pittings, burn-in, wet or any degrading of quality compare all 4 plugs...wash with petrol apply light oil around the plug's thread and tighten it a bit of hand strengh not to over tight.

anything interesting give me a buzz! or sms...

Hi Heyrul,

quite sometime already I'm using those iridium spark plugs in long rides you can see the differences in petrol consumption~ I'll be pumping lesser. Out with the buggers in a long rides "1.5 to 1 litre" lesser. sometimes 2L difference..

Not that easy-bring your parts they will plus the workmanship charges slightly more then regular charges. unless you know them personelly- In the end they still make.

Unless your DIY you can see so much in savings...

How is your headlights have you replaced- lock your handle to the right you squad on the left side of the bike you can see at the same time using your right hand to remove/ replace the bulb...you can buy the new philips headlight H4 type about $80/- a pair (80% brighter) then normal bulbs~ compliant to LTA

mctan's bike kenna 2 out of 4 NGK iridium plugs had burnt out when taken out from the engine. How can it happen I dun know.

Recently, had encounter little backfire after 15K miles of usage.

Change to normal plus it's back to normal.

Removed the Ir plugs to decarbon them. Problem solved. :cheeky:

But.... after abt 5K, the problem surface again. :sian:

This problem only occur when I did a lots of short distance riding after sold off my scooter.

So moral of the story our bike need to "clear carbon" once a while if u use expensive plugs

Thanx for the feedback, I've got my bulb replaced at Shanfu but without putting the clip on (cos i've misplaced it). Taking out and putting the bulb is quite easy but the clip gets tricky. At this moment, the bulb is only secured on the rubber holder only and it seems ok.

Perhaps I will get my clutch plate changed when the time comes.

Check ur dust cover... hope it's not been damage by the heat of the bulb o_O

If dust cover broken, suggest u buy some fishes and breed them in ur head light

Hi guys, where can I buy philips headlight H4 type.

Issit white or standard yellow? What does H4 type means and which type is suitable for diversion.

I dun want those white bulbs that may find it annoying to other road users because it's way too bright. I'm looking for the standard yellow colour but with a pinch of power like what SG mention (80% brighter).

Any suggestion on my enquiries,thanx.

I would rather breed electric eels in my headlight as my bulb electrical socket was found cracked exposing some metal conductors already.Well, what the heck,it's a small problem anyway (unless I'm experiencing muscle spasm or fits while riding in the rain)

I can see that you are still meditating......... very wise for an old guru.:)

Hi BA,

It's not those white bulbs it's the normal type but brighter then the normal bulb by 80%- I bought a pair and shared with my neighbour, It's in a new red packing "Philips" most autocare accessories/shop can get...

The hook that holds the bulb is quite easy to put it back' you just need to push the hook towards the bulb straight - ensure the bulb is seated properly and maintaining the tension on the hook at the same time push it down towards the catch. then let it go.

Yo BA,

As what Uncle says about the iridium plugs, not only those plugs even the ordinary plugs need to be wire brush after covering some 1000km~ "you can feel like" using new plugs again. If you ride a short distance and idle too long is no good for the plugs. iridium plugs need to be riden on a fast lane.....

I agreed with SG, since i change my plug to iridium, i felt that my bike has more power than before. On top of that, I also feel like always wanna tarik oni...haha! When the power comes the bike get smoothes. Thats why at times u forgot about ur speed oso.

So far thumbs up for iridium plugs! Hope does not create problem like MCtan experience before.

Yes, I do agree Iridium give more power, and feel more responsive. But it is more suitable for highway riding, not for local stop and stop kind of traffic.

During the period of using it, most of the time I rode on morning CTE to town, inside town and eveing on CTE. So can imagine the amount of spark produce but does not fully using it. In the end I find that, it is just a waste of money to buy expensive plug and use on local riding. Maybe it is another way to encourage me to speed...

For those who are using, one day if you find your bike has sudden lost of power. Check the plugs first before send your bike to bikeshop.

Anyway, this is just a sharing of experince to everyone who is using this plug on Diversion. Different people might have different experience and wants.

I agree with what MCtan said, no worries i will monitor the power and at least if it happens to me i know what is the cause rather than blur-blur send my bike to workshop. Good sharing experience bro... U and Uncle kena liao so i oso want to be careful...hehe!

Thanks for sharing..
