Did you check with sporting motor?? :cheer:

Why do you want to change it?? You facing wheel lock problem in track??

ya. a few times my rear locked and started to fish tail. think the wet road also played a part. could be also due to sloppy downshifting. yep, i spoke to sporting and its abt 2.3k with installation charges..

Do you know what's the difference between the 48 tooth and the rest??

They once quoted me around 1.6k. But I m not sure if it is a 48tooth you are talking about.

according to STM, the 48 teeth kit significantly reduces clutch plate wear. unfortunately, replacing clutch plates requires you to go back to STM as they are the only manufacturers that make 48 teeth baskets.

the 12 teeth kit still allows you to use ducati plates which are much more reliable.

if im wrong, someone correct me.

im still considering the 12 tooth or 48 teethed ones. maybe someone with more experience on this may wish to comment.

Shoei - Thats from the official spares catalogue, very good link! :thumb:

However, theres a "new" (2003) Ducati M400S, I don't know if its available in Singapore, but it has a tach + speedo, twin front discs, and better suspensions I think.

Anyone here riding it? Is it worth the money? Or should I just buy an old M400 and modify it?

M900? The new one is M1000 leh.

Also, no point buying such a powerful street bike. How much power can you use on the streets here? Come CL2 I will be aiming ST4, or if I strike toto, 999S :D

Posted

M1000 also no need to mod,

i mean to get the old M900 cheap, then mod.

no point getting such a powerful streetbike????

tell that to the fellas, bro, haha....

anyway Monster is not at all powerful relatively speaking

How bout S4R? :D

I'd like to get a big tourer, but for 2A, no choice of touring bikes, so might as well get something special.

Posted

like i say relatively speaking, the monster is not very powerful

The S4r merely pumps out maybe 115bhp 120bhp?? i dont know.

something which most Jap bikes will outpower in the same range.

but the monster definitely has some class of its own...

Hi Throttle,

Nice shots... You have any shots with the 999S/R?? It would be cool...

P.S: Heard that there will be a MotorGP Replica, 999RR?? I can't remember the model.. The current 999 riders will have priority getting them first..Cool!!

Regards

"Harley" Hong

All as well, ends well.
