got the stock Brembo S2R 800 calipers if you need them.

65mm mounts. not to be mistaken for the S2R 1k ones.

my discs are 300mm, whereas the S2R 1k are 320mm.

my forks should fit that except for the caliper mounts where mine is a 40mm. bottom triple included too.

748/916/996/996 dimensions are roughly the same i think, except for caliper spacing... quote me a price for the forks/calipers?

my forks are hardly used, mileage super low, u can check out my bike for proof... i upgraded to the higher spec showa and 4 pad calipers.

hi, thanks for the response. i reckon i would like to stick to 65mm brake caliper mounts cuz i just upgraded my brake system to Brembo goldlines.

but i'm keeping my options open.

i thought the 916 comes with SBK forks (top triple 53mm, lower triple also 53mm)? i'm looking at a deal on eBay (hoping to secure it at US$300) now and if it falls through, i might consider changing to SBK forks. (bore my stock triple and shim the lower triple)...

if you can give me the exact dimensions, i would be most grateful cuz it helps me in my purchase decision.

i'll let you know soon. anyway, what's the price you're looking at? send me a pm if you wanna keep it confidential...:thumb:

thanks!

Ride safe.

newbie to duc, any advices for a new duc during the "Break-in-period"? thanks!

Warm it up gently and completely before riding it hard. The big V-twin pistons expand about 0.5mm after warmed up. I saw a brand new, stone cold 1098 being revved right away after being started. Some blue smoke from the exhaust, that can't be good!

And don't be afraid to rev the bike. You'd get your licence into trouble well before you start 'stressing' the machine.

What duc did you get by the way?
