This is what you should do when you buy a bike (suspension)...

1. Get the static sag.... This will not change for as long as the bike's weight is unchanged. You'll only have to do this once. You can read what static sag is all about from Ohlins' manuals. The only thing you have to decide is the amount of fuel. All this while only the pre-load knob is used.

2. Get the rider sag.... Do not use the pre-knob. You just have to do the measurements. You have a second decision to make... 1 up or 2 up. Not going to change unless the load changes (you and your pillion)

3. After doing 1. and 2. then you can know if the springs are correct (reference from ducti's owner's manual or other sources). This is the basic info that you need. Hereon it's get confusing and technical which i'm not going to elaborate here.

In brief this is what you have to do. No expertise needed, No money involved, up till here. Just needs time, 2 friends (1 if your bike has a main stand).

From your feedback it looks like the spring is way off. You maybe cornering better with pillion even.

Contact skywheel for the coming meetup

Or just make a trip to racewerks ubi and pay them to set it right for you.

ANYONE KEEN FOR SUPPER?

and maybe some riding?

some talks about accessories and stuffs?

come on.... im bored.

btw, bro yammy, is that the DP mirrors you got?

how much does it cost man?

just curious, does it really get in the way when

you're kinda in between a car side by side?

It's not about the power or speed or how fast your ride goes but the time & effort spent to achieve something different

It's a hard decision, spending few grand for very minor weight loss on the wheels. :D

ya man, really hard..the worst part is to purchase on impulse.. X.X

The lightness of ur rims on ur S4 was amazing especially on 1st gear. Why not try our the forged with your other enhancement, never too late to change those wheels :):):):):)

heheh, ya man, i love my cb400 so much till now..

the feeling was great! the wheels really did made a huge difference!

fc improved for sure, pick up power =D, of cos of all the things i like,

BLING BLING =D

i did considered the OZ wheels and have already set aside $$ for it but

now my bike red... can't get the same concept i wanted to do up

like my cb400.

I wanted the BST too but later found out the weight savings are not worth the $$. 1lbs less per wheel only. Worth it or not, your money your call.

yeah, i have to agree with you on your point.

read the website that it requires to be checked yearly after the first 2 years of production..hmmmmm

The price isn't for us mere mortals either! :p

But I've heard they make the most difference when replacing cast wheels on the base models. On the higher spec models, they are more of a fashion upgrade? Opinions?

I have always focused on the looks of the bike man.

cos im not really a performance or hardcore track junkie.

but would love to have a feel of what it's like on the track =D

I dont ride Duck but i would like to give my inputs on lighter rims.

I feel quite a difference now that i am on the forged Marchesinis. When looking at weight difference, we should look at the whole dynamics of weight difference and not just the difference in masses. When the wheel rotates, the momentum of it should be of our concern. Higher speed will result in higher momentum.

Momentum = Velocity x Mass.

Leaning the bike left and right feels very light with the forged Marchesinis. I will not get technical on this. The above equation should be enough to explain the rationale behind lighter wheels. But as we are mere mortals and not sponsored racers, its not really that important to own such rims.

Best to come down for kopi session and ask the seniors for lobang. If u dun have time to come for kopi, there are lots of suggestions in this thread if u go further back.

Yes sir...DP it is.

The current set up is the same width as the stock, with the DP mirrors the width is adjustable by sliding the mirrors on the stalks, but then again by reducing the width of the mirrors u reduce rearwards visibility and u might not see the scums lurking behind...HAHA. No problems going between cars although is does stick out further than the handlebars (must make mental note).

Sorry Guys THE ORIGINAL GOLD is no longer suitable for display

Y'day wanted to put back the seat cowl and it cannot latch without considerable effort pressing the cowl down. Did I miss something or somehow between the time I purchased the bike and now somethings changed. Cannot remember it being that difficult to latch.
