Hi bros I jus got a TA150, ask y'all some very noob qn rgd maintenance hope u all can advise me:

1. Engine oil is it same as those 4T engine oil?

2. Where to top up 2T? Need always keep a bottle 2T on bike?

3. Need to change oil filter & air filter?

4. Where to chk coolen level?

 

Anything I should watch out for if I missed anything? Ty in advance!

1.Engine oil is also known as 4T...But there are many types of engine oil around....from cheap to expensive...ask mechanic for advice.

2. If yours is a 2 stroke model (2 stroke model has a rectangular radiator mesh in front, 4 stroke model doesn't), then the 2T tank is on the front left when u r straddling the bike. Top up once every week depending on usage.

3.Dun think got oil filter (not sure though)...air filter no need change too frequently...consult your mechanic.

4. Coolant level can be check when opening the cap on top the radiator mesh on front right (below petrol tank). Do not open when engine is hot....Use a cloth when opening.

Haha...I personally change engine oil once every month....depending on your usage and budget....totally up to you...

2 stroke bike dont need change engine oil every month...engine oil in 2 stroke is also called gear box oil...as ts oil dont need to lub piston...so v clean.....u can change it every 10k or half a year.

Don't use 4T for a 2 stroker...gear oil is more suitable.

Hi, I just bought a TA 150 and I'm really new to bikes and riding. I was told from the previous owner that the fuel consumption is 30km - 1litre but it has been eating up alot of petrol. 17km-1Lit is the amount it's is eating up now. Can anybody give me advice on how to help lower the consumption?

my ta150 fuel consumption is about 24km/l...never reach 30km/l !!!!!! u may need to adjust the air screw in ur carb to lower the fuel consumption...std setting is 1.5 turn out...
