Hey hi people. My bike just died on me when I was riding. It was sudden. I was riding at around 80km then suddenly everything swithced off including the electronics. I tried to off n on again also the electronics does not on. Anyone care to share what is the problem? I am riding r1 04 btw.

Firstly, happy chinese new year to all R1ders. May riding be as smooth as ever.

 

Secondly, isit possible to check generator/battery? as in can use how long more etc? or whats time life for it? Cause I'm not sure when does it has no more power...i mean, we dont have chargers for bike right? xD...

 

Thirdly, anyone know any method of removing brown coloured rust at the end of my exhaust?? like what substance of any formula. Thanks once again~

ok understood , was just asking, prolly those who knew could share with me... cause im someone who dont even know the simpliest. e.g i dun even know whats a sprocket, tech just say mine good one and i orh.

 

Just studied my bike, ex owner racer, every part is almost the best/from italy import, made to race. mad ass diablo tires and arrow pipes gosh i just love the arrow pipes luvluvluv!~

Is there any device that can be installed on bikes to remote start even before u insert ignition key?

 

cos previously i had a car and i could remote start the engine even before reaching the car.

 

find it kind of cool.

 

hv eg spy alarm. but hv to bypass the fuse which may burn ur ecu thus many dont install that feature

Valve clearance will range from 300-800 or even more depending on the amount of items needed to be changed.

Mech told me buy something that sounded like starting with T word...said like toothpaste kinda container, helps to remove rust from exhaust using "Hai mian" soft soft . Ring anyone's bell?

 

So many problems keep happening..argh... morning riding to work, gear lever snap off...lucky was in gear 2 ride straight to shop park there...

After repair just got back, neutral at traffic light my engine make dying heart beat sound..and power shut down -.- this is why i hate putting bike over at mechs..

 

I need a GOOD mech shop reco please. for repairs and making sure no problem..cut my wallet nvm as long no problem with bike..Thanks all

What happening~ duperman, care to share if u faced any bike problems to share

 

 

ANyway so far the problems I encounter I'm gona share.

The symptoms of ENgine dying when slowing down and going to neutral - Most of the time is due to Throttle Position Sensor(TPS) which is a common problem and nothing being done about it by YAhama or whoever responsible. what I heard was best if you change a new one every few months to be safe, only like $120 rather then engine sudden die on road at junctions... Happened to me cos i got totally no knowledge on R1 or bikes. dont wish things happen to others~. Pushing a R1 from first lane of any junctions is no joke.

Also Racewerks does it and additional GT85 sprayed on for better durability or whatever it is. cos TPS is due to grease inside hardening and causing disturbance to sensors

 

Hope more R1ders can share more problems they face so we able to react and know what to look out for because no way in hell im changing to any other bikes other then a newer R1 model R1 for life~

Is there any method of removing big pieces of sticker from fairings other then using a hard card slowly removing/hair dryer/diesol?

 

Whats the best method with least damaging? thanks all~
