I'm using K3 currently. Dry road, excellent. Wet road, I go below 50kmph. Haha. Anyway, feel like trying the M5. For 120/180, anyone knows the price?

i using m5 now on my 2010 fz1...which i traded the stock tires for...corner grip was good

feed-back pretty positive even in the wet...ard $450 a pair for 180 rear.

i just slapped on a pair of Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa (not to be confused with the normal Rosso) on my 600cc sports. before that was on Corsa III which is the model directly replaced by Rosso Corsa; and before that was on Pilot Power 2CT.

personally of all the tyres, i find Pilot Power 2CT was the absolute best. fantastic on the road, and amazingly even better on track, altho obviously veteran track riders will find pure track tyres even better. and the PP2CT didn sacrifice wet grip for its performance. which was why i was so keen to get the Power Pure, but no stock

my previous Corsa III was comparable to the PP2CT, but the PP2CT somehow just had that extra 'wow' factor. simply amazing. unfortunately i never had the chance to try them on track, coz haven gone since the birth of my first child. hoping to run in my current Rosso Corsa on track this month.

Just changed to Metzler Z6 Interact - sports touring tyres. Not bad, and turns in much quicker than my previous Diablo. Hope it lasts longer, cause my Diablo wore out pretty darn fast, and I don't even track.

I'm currently using Dragon supercorsa pro, excellent grip and cornering performance, however, this tyre is going to last me only 6 months for mostly road and only 1 taking it easy track session. I really like the performance a lot, but it is a bit soft.

Anybody know any pirelli or metzler tyre similar in performance but slightly longer lasting? Hopefully can last 1 year. I also used the 016 but don't know how is the new 016 pro.

From what i see, you are travelling more on the road then on the track. Dragon supercorsa is very soft. Maybe you can try Diablo Rosso Corsa. It is a multi compound for the rear. But it have been receiving good review on several magazine. A bit similar to 016 but with some technology from Pirelli racing.

currently riding a 2nd hand TA200...front and rear tyres is China...front is Golden Dragon and rear is Shinko..noticed that these tyres quite uneven, although not that old...when i slow down or sometimes negotiate bends or turning roads...my front steering could be shaking, though not violently...could it be due to the tyres

cause i see nothing amiss...other than the tyres

any danger??...otherwise plan to use them until botak first b4 I change to new ones

Shinko is Korean brand right?

TA200 riders generally have bad experiences with lower-spec tyres due to generally high travelling speed on Singapore highways and close-quarters traffic. This demands better traction, first of all.

First thing you should do is check tyre pressure, the TA200 runs best with the tyre pressure at or around 200kpa (as per manual recommendation). Shops love to pump 250-300 just to feel rock-hard tyres. This is unsafe as this bike has a big tyre size and relatively low weight due in part to the small engine and Japanese-derived design. Overinflated tyres = skid when rear brakes are applied. (Hence causing a bad rep for the bike. It's not the bike, its the rider.)

If the tyre pressure is already ok but the tyres still don't give any confidence, suggest change them to a set of inexpensive Metzeler tyres. These are very good all-purpose tyres which serve me well on/off road, dry/wet and corners very precisely. Surprisingly durable and not expensive at all - last December at HKL Bukit Merah they were selling front and rear pair at $140 + free gifts.

Any news on Michelin Pilot Road 3?

i doubt the agent will bring in. I ask one of the shop, he contacted the agent. they say most prolly won't be in. if bring in also, won't be that soon. As they had overstock on the pilot road2. They need to clear the PR2s first. If u see the thread pattern on the PR3, its similar to the PR2 big thread only on the PR3, there is small water holes to disperse water.

i once used 'vee rubber' (thailand) front and shinko rear on my previous TA150. terrible.

the front had uneven wear just like you described. at first you could only feel it when running your palm down the surface, but eventually you could visually spot the uneven surface. yes it contributed front juddering.

the final straw was when i had to jam brake suddenly in stationary traffic: front tyres locked completely and had to release the brakes, swerving and narrowly avoiding front car which had come to sudden stop. the uneven surface had reduced outright grip.

no problems after i changed to metzeler.

I tried Bridgestone BT39, very sticky tires... I heard there's two version one from Thailand another from Japan.

OR Dunlop TT900... these are some popular choice for Spark/X-1R
