Haha! I had the same thought before I reprayed my bike. The 50th anniversary red/white (or cream to some) is unique, but it looks dirty after some time. You won't regret givin' your babe a new coat of paint, trust me.

Yeah! Ah Pek's bike is freakin' chio. Oh the shine!

hahas. dun talk abt it bro. the red/cream paintwork. nv wash for a week, the cream'll look damn dull

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

did i miss out anythin.. magnetic coil? im freakin fed up wif d inconsistency of d bike startup ( sumtimes can start.. sumtimes cant) but at the same time i cant leave at bikeshop as d bike is my daily mode of transport. juz wanna hear if any bros out there got experience this before.. thanks.

Yah...five years ago. The guy name is David and he is one of the oversea trained pioneer in refurbishing and repairing shock asorber. Forgot the name of his workshop but he is located at junction between Serangoon and start of Bradell road I think..there is a big koi pond inside his shop. Can find out the name again if you want. Cost me SGD300.00 for spring replacement, seal, internal damper housing cleaning, added spacer for spring, oil and nitrogen fill up. To date still going strong and guess it worth it all this while..almost 5+ years olehdee.

did i miss out anythin..

- changed sparkplug - ows....ok

- wash airfilter........not related to the problem

- check batt - ok...not related to the problem

- check rectifier - ok....ok

- check cdi - ok...not related..not related to problem

- check jettin n tuning - ok ...not related to problem

- carbon starter less than a yr...not related to problem

- wiring all checked. working fine.....MAYBE...not sure what wiring you referring to..the main hardness? There is a wire that is black and have a white strip on it. Its sorta "kill switch" wire. Happened to mine once. Bike just die or can't start sometime when handle is turn in either direction.

The problem may not be this particular wire..old bike like ours tend to have breakages or corroded wires internally inside their insulator..very hard to tracked..the worst being wire that is not broken but have very high resistance due to conductor corrosion. I had mine cut and rejoined at one time and the section of it is those at under the tank to where it runs to the headlamp.

The other possibility is that the pair of cable that runs from the plug to the step-up coil..one to cyclinder 1 & 3 and the other to cyclinder 2/4...or 1/4 and 2/3..whatever, check the one that had the blown spark plug. The cable attachment connection to the spak arrestor may be back or one them step-up coil is already half effective(likely the one that has blowup plug).

Please note that what I've said here is just possibility and may noy be the problem...good luck.

There are quite a few shops around that has PB1 headers lying around. May be can get Seng Kwan to do up the header. Not sure if affect performance or not as I believe version S is 4-2-1. If you think its worth all the paint can and effort and looks over the year to come keeeping the bike..Y not hor.

Is tat for a pair or one only? $230 is really cheap if for a pair. I wil try n survey other places. Nitrogen being use to service is very gud.

My fren used nitrogen for his tires also....

Ok, sound like for a pair....found that thread and below is a snipped from what said...never been there and not sure how its done...very scare of no quality but cheap.

"for front fork service is $150 n we change both seals, clean out whole forks, check straightness of the tubes, polish fork tubes.

rear shock are $230 for both include new seals , oil, polish shafts, reshim, full clean up,higher nitrogen pressure :thumb:"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I ve done grounding but gud to know if thr r better location for the grounding pts.

The reason I asked is because different evrsion or rather all different model of bikes have different points for grounding. All the talk about the number of grounding points are "How_Sao"!

Once I asked one supposing reputated workshop how much $$s and how is my bike grounding to be. He 'study study' like some grounding expert and brisky told me 4 points would do and caused around 45 bucks! When I requested that he showed me where the grounding points are..I jsut couldn't get the logic for it right. Of course I did not Kae_Kian lah...just mapodoe and act gong_gong and say I come back when I get the $$s.

Anyway..I doubt what they do is that effective. I have seen a Vtec III loop with 4 grounding wires (so call 4 points)from cyclinder head to lower crank case housing mounting and back to the top to form a loop..IMHO...that not what I think its all about for a better spark firing efficiency so that the engine feel smoother. again...I may be wrong...but I think I'm right leh...ha....x3!

I need to service both cuz both quite soft already. I tink wil do the front fork first. Hm, $150. In the earlier discussion some one mention $80. Dnt knw it is for a pair or one only...
