Is tat for a pair or one only? $230 is really cheap if for a pair. I wil try n survey other places. Nitrogen being use to service is very gud.

My fren used nitrogen for his tires also....

Talking about that...was thinking of one set with the canister assembly..errr..anyone of you here knows it can fit our non Vtec versions? Also..has anyone hear seen or heard about better Showa shock beside what we all having now? Thanks in advance.

 

i using the bitubo without canister ... i didnt have the chance to try showa cos it been stolen long time ago...

The reason I asked is because different evrsion or rather all different model of bikes have different points for grounding. All the talk about the number of grounding points are "How_Sao"!

 

Once I asked one supposing reputated workshop how much $$s and how is my bike grounding to be. He 'study study' like some grounding expert and brisky told me 4 points would do and caused around 45 bucks! When I requested that he showed me where the grounding points are..I jsut couldn't get the logic for it right. Of course I did not Kae_Kian lah...just mapodoe and act gong_gong and say I come back when I get the $$s.

 

Anyway..I doubt what they do is that effective. I have seen a Vtec III loop with 4 grounding wires (so call 4 points)from cyclinder head to lower crank case housing mounting and back to the top to form a loop..IMHO...that not what I think its all about for a better spark firing efficiency so that the engine feel smoother. again...I may be wrong...but I think I'm right leh...ha....x3!

 

I have 6 points, after overhaul the grounding pts all change by the mech...

I need to service both cuz both quite soft already. I tink wil do the front fork first. Hm, $150. In the earlier discussion some one mention $80. Dnt knw it is for a pair or one only...

 

i think if got $80 is cheap liao. i ask around motor shop. all 100 and above. W/O change spring. mine bike need to repair a lot of thing too... change a lot of small thing already cost me nearly 2k liao...

He pumps it for free:cheeky: His dad does it for him. He also never ask from whr and how.. Mybe i must kepo alittle bit:angel:

Mine is 4pts, done at Bikewerkz for $30. Feel respond abit better.

grounding will not cos engine stall ... u see that throttle response, brighter light

yup bitubo have bro....actually im using one same as in the garage sale....the canister is internal....got it from a mass order in 2005 for $550 and that time it retailed for $780...it have metric adjustable preload n rebounder.....i been usin it for like 2 yrs plus n its still good n not saggy considering im having a wing rack w 2 side box n a top box n a lady with us combined pple weight alone like 180kg..cornering is good..no thoing thoing feeling...it definitely can fit our non vtec models...anyways i like it that it looks like a cheap suspension....no worries abt pple stealin it...

 

the one ur askin for is the one w external canister is the top end type..preload n rebounder and 1 more feature wic i cant remember...the previous owner usin this model and i remember u can get from mezzo...that time was like $980 bucks..but not sure now..but i remember the fella from mezza tellin me gettin it i wld not be using its full capabilities...unless if im more inclined to race track...den it can serve me more...

 

other good shocks i heard n seen is kayaba or kabaya shocks...but so far i dont know where the dealer is...but if u love to wear kabayas i tink this shock is perfect for u...hehe

buy 2nd hand suspension got to cheap properly got leaks or nt.. if not minor servicing $120 major $200 ...

Tats why la, its like for one side only. If not total $160 for both. U spend so much for ur S4. Last time my rxz only make me spend $1.5k. N stil ve things to change. In the end, let it go... Cannot tahan but hard pain to see it go away:cry:

Yup, it makes a diff compare to normal air... Tats y airplane uses nitrogen for their tires. How much do shops offer charging for nitrogen?

yup confirm its for a pair...got a quote from planet for $80 bucks...but if ur regular with bikewerks den go there lah coz they learnt from the same teacher...i also need to do my front forks too man.... as for bikelab...i tink its quite worth the money for $150 coz i saw that they r so called suspension specialists for penske shocks...

true i must agree coz must check for leaks since its 2nd hand condition ...but i tink if i decide to sell mine pple also scared to buy if pple know its history since its under constant heavy load(me n my gf) n my workplace carpark sometimes got sandblasting works goin on nearby...layer of sand n grit everywhere...n its still goin strong even after 2 yrs plus...tts y i was quite surprised at its longitivity...still as firm as the first day i bought....hehehe...

I heard also tat Bikelab r specialise in servicing shocks... Tinking of bikewerkz but thy r always buzy. Went thr whn thy r juz open n alrdy ve ppl waiting. Lucky for me mybe!

I still not satisfy with my fork + spring change after service... sianz. might be doing it again lor

well i had the 'e hok e hok' sound from my front fork last time...went to planet....ah chong tested e bike for me a bit...den he say u can save money lah den he apply grease to the brakeline wic was rubbing against the brakeline holder n wala...the e noise dissappeared....i was glad i saved 80 bucks...

the magic of grease kills the noise...haha

Ya grease or oil lubricant can make a diff. Last time had my chain making loud noise whenever i move off. Tot the chain n sprocket wear alrdy even whn i inspect it looks ok.

Before sending to change, i lub my chain. Whn on the way to bikeshop, the sound totally dissappear. Haha... lucky me save $180.

Tis happen since last month is raining like everyday n the lub is wash away after few ridehours...
