Aiyah...better look around first and asked and see oso. Cheap means dunno how to quote and oso mean never done b4. If a mototiam quote $500 (elsewhere $300+) and give discount $80...you happy like kucF but the cost at $420 you pay oso chop_chop price what. Beside, one has to weigh on job quality verses cost..give u cheap _cheap and after 3 months leak again oso no use.

 

If Unique is good or Motoworld..best to compare prices. Anyway..asked what need to be replaced etc..b4 comitting.

lol this is a weird question but, i dont know what version of CB400 im riding, it has 98 reg date, PB1 stainless steel headers, a power cut @ 180, version S rear fairing, and mid block cooling fins, also it uses black plug cables. also non trellis type pillion foot rest hangers.

 

any help?

 

u better thank the 2 wheel gods becos u have stumbled upon a rare precious gem.. ur BIG ONE is a limited production mugen type R cb400.. only 10 exists worldwide.. standard equipment includes straight through hrc full system exhaust, hrc ecu which enables the engine to rev up to 21,000 rpm, lightened trellis frame, magnesium enkei rims and monobloc nissin front brake calipers. The showa suspension unit has be tuned for extreme track riding. Basically its a race bike wif lights. btw it oso has a special dual throttle control developed by hrc for maximum acceleration so becareful when u activated it becos u have to make sure tat thr is at least 100m of clear road ahead.

It's worth it bro, protection and comfort is good. Other brands you can consider around that price range might be Shoei or Arai.

hiee kickin to neutral gear after u off ur engine issit harmful to the bike?

Its all very basic electrical.......when my bike is in netrual and running, when i press my brake, the neutral seems to be dimmed

and when released the light go back normal,

but when i hold and rev my throttle, the problem does not come in,

thks ah pek for verification.. when u free ahpek? nid to change eo as well as nid ur help in checking my bike problem, its like when moving in very slow speed during warm up, there will be a knocking sound when i close throttle and let it free wheel, at first i tot is my chain and sprocket set(afam did x ring that will have a hollow sound when turning), but i realise when i throttle the sound is gone and comes on when i close throttle, after reaching my destination 40km away, the sound did not sound anymore.. wats the problem? I am aware of my bike tak tak tak sound when warming up..

Just sms me a day ahead when u need my help and see if I'm available. As for the sound..have to hear it out myself lah..could be cam chain or its tensioner in progress of getting worn out or carbs component problem, or like you said..sprocket issue..can be anything.

AGV price range anywhere from 300 - 1000? More or less there. Although I saw a race spec full carbon fibre helmet for 1.5k online.

Ok...for those that has no neutral light and yet the bike is on netural and can start..it's likely the bulb inside blown or oso the possibility of the neutral switch inside engine bottom crank case spoil lioa.

 

If your side stand is down and when clutch in..or on 1st gear cannot start..its likey the neutral switch problem oso. Also check the two wire connectors on the clutch lever side near the mounting end that they are in place. Wiping that area can sometime accidentally disconnect one of the conector or both. These are the connecting wires that operatures the function of the clutch safty switch.

 

Take note that having to change the neutral switch require the eo to be drained.

Guys, how to determine if the steering cone is worn out? Cos today I was trying free hand riding and realize the handle is not str8 instead it is wobbling left and right. I just change my steering cone 2 months back btw

Its not ur steering cone..if steering cone spoiled..your handle lagi steady! Check your tyre pressure..around 250 front at least..back oso.270-290. If u had a recent fault...can be ur front fork.

Its not ur steering cone..if steering cone spoiled..your handle lagi steady! Check your tyre pressure..around 250 front at least..back oso.270-290. If u had a recent fault...can be ur front fork.

I asked u to check urself and u tell me Ah Chong say for what?

 

What size is ur front and back tyre? Have you also check the center ridge of ur front tyre..is there any ripple pattern (up and down wear and tear)? If Ah Chong had check and he's a reputated mechanic..I guess u may be wrong then..perhaps you can check with another two mechanics just to get better opinion.

Ok... I have being the front and back pressure to 250 and 280 respectively. Front tyre wear feels even. But the handling still feels shaky.
