I don't think ur problem is carbs issue...could be ur biting point adjustment or the way u ride throttling ur bike or exhaust choke (rev at stationary to 12k-13k rpm and see got black or thick rusty brown smoke). If it jerks due to bad carbs..you encounter it all the way with the rest of the gears. Btw..u need a better eo. As for ur riding style..there is no ok or not..just try to make use of the higher rpm in any gearing as much as you can..like first gear all way up to 5.5 to 8k rpm and try to use 10k rpm as much as when traffic flows allowd. Need help..pm me.

Ah Pek, my bike has been laying off at MSCP for about one week+ now. Due to my medical condition I can't ride my bike for time being. So I was wondering, is warming up the bike at stationary side stand, say once week good enough or bad? Or the bike should be ridden around to warm up? Thx.

Posted

10k rpm?? i think i would hit 140-160km/h rite? hahaha! i still not used to high speed road bike, been riding scrambler for past 5 yrs & just cruzing at 80km/h..

btw, thanks for the tips.

Better to have twice a week and after start up..let it run with occassional reving for at least 5 mins..best 10 mins. This is to make sure eo gets to all the lube channels of the bike and oso to help trickle charge the battery. DO COVER ur bike unless MSCP keeps it dry.

Ok..can more or less confirmed ur exhaust is choke liao base on your riding style...have it rev to 12-13 rpm and hold for a second to clear exhaust..do it until no more black smoke. Than go test ride and see wheather bike in lower gear sill jerks. Report back here so we all learn.

No worrries..just remove and use lighter lique fuel or petrol to slowly scrape them off. Those gummy slimly stuff are "run out of date" epoxy from ur CDI unit (under the tank). They melt because they lost their coherence to hold and stay harden. Ur CDI will be fine without it.

The epoxy on the cdi wats the purpose? When it start to flow does it meant cdi wana kaput?

Just CDI electronic board & circuitory protection from design being copy and duplication. No..its not sign of failure to come.

Hey guys, how do we know when to change our spark plug cable/wire?

Never need too or hardly..but if have too...that cyclinder spark plug is not running well like under power..normally its the ignition coil that goes or the spark arrestore (the piece that connects to your plug and cable).

ahpek, you are right.. my exhaust is choked badly, bike has no power.. reving the bike too much doesnt really help but makes the batt flat. sent to ahfook.. he charged the batt, cleaned the exhaust, replaced new spark plugs, adjust cam & timing chain. damage cost $150...

Yup done. It turns out that the part that is used to screw the head block has become very thin. Changed it and now no more leaks. Damage = 35 bucks at ah fook.

Coolant head leaking but smell of engine oil? Doesn't make sense. I think you better get your bike checked properly man.
